Galaxy Fold 5G starts receiving Android 10 update in the UK

The LTE variant of the Galaxy Fold started receiving the Android 10 update last week, but Galaxy Fold 5G users were missing out. Now, the South Korean smartphone giant has started rolling out Android 10 for the Galaxy Fold 5G in the UK.

The OTA (over the air) update with firmware version F907BXXU3BTC9 has a file size of 2354.59MB, and it brings One UI 2.1 to the Galaxy Fold 5G. The update also brings the March 2020 Android security patch to the foldable phone.

The One UI 2.1 update brings features like Quick Share, Music Share, and improved Night mode performance in the camera app to the Galaxy Fold 5G. Google's UI navigation gestures, enhanced Dark Mode, new camera UI, tweaked icons and color scheme, refreshed Device Care design, improved permissions manager, and screen recording are a part of the update as well. We also expect the new software to bring bug fixes and performance improvements to the phone.

If you are using the Galaxy Fold 5G in the UK, you should have received the update notification by now. If not, you can check for the update manually by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the firmware file from our firmware section and flash the update manually.
