Android P Beta 2 Lands On The OnePlus 6 With New Features

Android P Developer Preview 2 is now available for the OnePlus 6. Android P beta for the OnePlus 6 was announced by both OnePlus and Google during Google I/O, and following the release of Android P Developer Preview 2 for the Google Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, the Essential PH-1, and the Sony Xperia XZ2, the build is now available for the OnePlus 6 as well. This update was first spotted on Baidu, says XDA, and it has been announced via OnePlus' Chinese forums.

This update fixes camera stability issues, while an issue with face unlocking has also been fixed in this update. Application compatibility issues have been taken care of as well, while the "Wi-Fi SoftAP Device Manager is currently not unavailable" issue is not a problem any longer either. Issues with camera portrait mode have been taken care of by the company as well, and the same goes for "Widevine L1 is temporarily unavailable" issue. Along with Android P Beta 2 features, you're also getting some OxygenOS features in this update. Ambient Display is a part of this update, and the same goes for OnePlus' Face Unlock feature. The update also adds proper support for dual rear cameras, while you can create your own system accent colors as well, which is a feature that will be coming to stable regular, stable OxygenOS build soon. OnePlus' full screen gestures have been added via this update, and the same goes for Google Lens, which is now integrated into the camera app. That is more or less it as far as updated features and fixes are concerned.

If you take a look at the video that has been embedded down below, you will be able to check out Android P Developer Preview 2 update for the OnePlus 6. Do keep in mind that you will need to wipe your device if you'd like to install this update, presuming you have a regular OxygenOS build running on it, of course. It is always easier to install it if you have a custom recovery running on the device, and for the full tutorial on how to install this build on your OnePlus 6 handset, follow the source link down below, and scroll down, detailed instructions are available at the end of the article, along with download links for the Android P Beta 2 OnePlus 6 build.
