ASUS ROG Phone Appears On The Company’s US Website

The ASUS ROG Phone was announced earlier this month, and the device has just surfaced on ASUS' official website in the US. This listing more or less confirms that the device will be available in the US, which is a piece of info that we did not have thus far, as ASUS did not really reveal launch markets for the device, nor its pricing thus far. It is still unknown when will the phone become available in the US, nor how much will it cost, though, but the company did say that the ROG Phone will go on sale in the third quarter of this year (in general), so it's possible / probable that it will land in the US in that time period.

The ASUS ROG Phone, as many of you probably already know, is ASUS gaming smartphone. This device should compete with offerings from Razer, Nubia, and Xiaomi, and it definitely has what it takes in order to do that, at least on paper. The ASUS ROG Phone comes with top-of-the-line specs, needless to say, and it also features a rather interesting cooling system called 'GameCool', which is supposed to keep the Snapdragon 845 and other internals cooled down no matter how much you're gaming on it. The ASUS ROG Phone also comes with a rather interesting design, and several LED strips on the back, which make it stand out from the competition, that's for sure. This handset isn't exactly bezel-less, but its bezels are not that thick either, especially considering that ASUS Included stereo speakers in this handset.

This handset features a 6-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) AMOLED display, 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 512GB of non-expandable storage. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor, while it comes with a 4,000mAh battery which is not removable. 12 and 8-megapixel cameras are included on the back of the device, and an 8-megapixel camera can be found on the phone's front side. This handset also has three ultrasonic pressure-sensitive zones, and it ships with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, with ASUS' ROG Gaming UI.
