Galaxy S10 to come in two display sizes and skip the iris scanning


Samsung introduced iris scanning biometry with the ill-fated Note 7 and used it in subsequent flagships as an extra to the face recognition function in Samsung's so-called "Intelligent Scan" package. It's not the 3D face-scanning of the iPhone X and some recent phones like the Oppo Find X or the Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition, and doesn't have the pretenses to be, but Samsung is still ditching it altogether for the Galaxy S10, report Korean industry insiders today.
