Oppo Find X Lamborghini Edition revealed with super-fast battery charging

  • Oppo has announced the 1,699-euro Find X Automobili Lamborghini Edition.
  • The special version of the Find X includes SuperVOOC, which will charge the phone's battery to 100 percent in just 35 minutes.
  • The phone also comes with 512GB of storage, as well as Lamborghini's logo on the back.

The official reveal of the Oppo Find X in Paris had a major surprise at the end of its press event. The company announced it will release a special Find X Automobili Lamborghini Edition of the phone, which will use Oppo's SuperVOOC fast battery charging technology.

How fast is it? Oppo claims that the 3,400mAh battery on this phone would take 90 minutes to fully charge with the company's standard VOOC charging tech. The SuperVOOC flash charging hardware in the Find X Lamborghini Edition has a maximum charge of 50W and can fully charge the phone's battery from 0 to 100 percent in just 35 minutes.

This edition of the phone will also have 512GB of onboard storage.

Oppo has teamed up with the famous car maker for this special version of the Find X in other ways. The phone will have a carbon fiber texture placed under the cover glass on the back of the phone. It will also have an engraved Lamborghini logo on the back that's designed to look like a 3D effect no matter what angle you view it from.

Even the packaging of this phone is different than normal. Oppo says the "Y" design on the box comes from the car light found on the Lamborghini Aventador car. The woven pattern found on the phone's charging cable comes from the look of the ignition coil of the V12 engine in that car.

The rest of the hardware specs in the Oppo Find X Lamborghini Edition are the same as in the standard Find X, with a 6.42-inch AMOLED display that has an over 93 percent screen-to-body ratio, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB of RAM, and cameras that rise from the top of the phone. The price for this special edition phone will be 1,699 euros when it launches in Europe in August.
