Honor is discounting two of its most popular smartphones that are available in the US, for Amazon Prime Day. That's the Honor 7X which is good for $30 off, bringing the price down to $169. Then there is the Honor View 10, which is priced at $399 currently and that's good for $100 off of its regular price.

The Honor 7X is one of the best budget phones of 2018, and it was released last year. And now it's even cheaper than it has ever been before. Making this a great time to pick one up. It sports a 5.93-inch Full HD+ display with a 18:9 aspect ratio, and it has a Kirin 659 chipset inside with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Honor has also included a micro SD card slot for expanding storage, should you need more room. There is also a 3340mAh capacity battery, which should keep it running all day long. Now the Honor View 10 is the company's flagship device. Sporting a 6-inch full HD+ display, also a 18:9 aspect ratio here. There is the Kirin 970 chipset powering the View 10, with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage here, and there is also a micro SD card slot. This is powered by a 3750mAh battery, and it also has AI infused in the phone, for things like the camera and so forth.

This is part of Amazon's Prime Day, which is ongoing now through midnight PST on July 17. However, you can only take advantage of this deal if you are a Prime member, so if you are not a member of Amazon Prime, you're going to want to sign up for Amazon Prime. Luckily, Amazon does offer up a free 30-day trial, which you can use for Prime Day and then cancel within a month and not pay a thing but take advantage of all of the deals on Amazon Prime Day, which is pretty neat.

Apple is postponing new iOS features in favor of reliability and performance

Apple has decided to postpone new features in iOS in favor of improving the reliability and performance of the operating system, as according to a report by Axios. According to the report, Craig Federighi, Senior Vice President, Software Engineering, announced the revised plan to employees at a meeting earlier this month. This pushes features like refresh of the homescreen and in-car user interface, improvements to core apps like Mail and camera experience to 2019. What we will get this year is improvements to AR, digital health and parental controls. Apart from that, the OS will largely feature improvements to performance and user experience.
