Huawei has also discounted its newest Wear OS-powered smartwatches for Prime Day. Taking $80 off of the Watch 2 Classic and Watch 2 Sport, bringing their prices down to $219 and $289 respectively. That's a great price for these smartwatches and also bring them down to their all-time lows.

The Huawei Watch 2 Classic and Sport are essentially the same smartwatch. The main difference is that the Sport model is more rugged, while the Classic has a more, well classic look to it. Including a leather strap. Now these straps can be changed out for something better, if you wish to do so. These smartwatches do have built-in GPS, so if you are looking for a watch to use for running, these will be great as they can map your runs while you are out running. And on top of that Map My Run is available on Wear OS, which is nice to see. These two smartwatches will connect to your smartphone, whether it's iOS or Android, over Bluetooth and WiFi, so you'll get your notifications on your wrist, as well as being able to use apps that are installed on your smartphone on your wrist. These prices won't last long, and likely won't be back around until Black Friday in November, so it's definitely a good time to grab one of these smartwatches.

This is part of Amazon's Prime Day, which is ongoing now through midnight PST on July 17. However, you can only take advantage of this deal if you are a Prime member, so if you are not a member of Amazon Prime, you're going to want to sign up for Amazon Prime. Luckily, Amazon does offer up a free 30-day trial, which you can use for Prime Day and then cancel within a month and not pay a thing but take advantage of all of the deals on Amazon Prime Day, which is pretty neat.

Apple is postponing new iOS features in favor of reliability and performance

Apple has decided to postpone new features in iOS in favor of improving the reliability and performance of the operating system, as according to a report by Axios. According to the report, Craig Federighi, Senior Vice President, Software Engineering, announced the revised plan to employees at a meeting earlier this month. This pushes features like refresh of the homescreen and in-car user interface, improvements to core apps like Mail and camera experience to 2019. What we will get this year is improvements to AR, digital health and parental controls. Apart from that, the OS will largely feature improvements to performance and user experience. We have seen Apple do this with macOS in the past, where they dedicate one entire update cycle to just refining the OS and make existing features work better.
