LG G7 ThinQ & V35 ThinQ Fi Orders Come With $300 Service Credit

Google is now offering $300 in Fi service credit for those who order a new LG G7 ThinQ or LG V35 ThinQ, making this a good opportunity to save on two relatively new and high-profile LG smartphones. The deal is live now (July 16) and will remain active until 11:59 PM PT on July 29, 2018. Or of course, "while supplies last."

$300 in bill credits is a fair amount on any carrier although it could prove to be even more beneficial when used with Fi. This is due to the billing system where Fi customers only effectively pay for the data they use. In short, Fi charges $20 per month for the baseline package which includes unlimited talk and text. From then on, it works out to be an additional $10 for each GB of data used. So those consumers who are light on data and able to stay below the 1GB limit each month can expect to pay $30 per month. The most anyone should ever expect to pay each month is the $20 base price and 6GB's worth of data at $60 – so $80 per month in total. As users reaching this 6GB marker automatically revert to an unlimited type of plan where additional data is not charged for. So how long $300 will last any particular customer will be highly-dependent on their data needs and usage.

Generally speaking, there does not seem to be any major caveats to note besides having to buy one of the two smartphones. Which through Fi works out to be $749 (or $31.21 per month) for the LG G7 ThinQ and $899 (or $37.46 per month) for the V35 ThinQ. According to the promotion, the $300 service credit will be applied to the customer's account "45 – 60 days after activation" which is the only minor caveat. As the phone needs to be activated within 30 days of purchase and remain active for at least 30 days within the initial 60 days following receipt. The T&Cs do state this is a "one device per customer" deal although this is better understood as a 'one per line' limit as those on a group plan can get as many devices as there are group members. Alternatively, Google is still offering $150 in Fi credit for those who purchase a Google Pixel 2 XL – this deal ends July 21, 2018.
