Deal: Save $100 on the OnePlus 6 (Update: More details, 6T bundles)

Update, November 19, 2018 (1:45 PM EST): We received word from OnePlus about tomorrow's $100-off deal, and got some details confirmed. Starting November 20, 2018, at 3:00 AM EST, the OnePlus 6 will go on sale for $100 off its normal price. This includes all available variants of the OnePlus 6, which means you'll pay either $429 or $479 for your new phone.

We also were told there will be some bundles offered for those of you who decide to buy the OnePlus 6T instead. If you buy a 128GB OnePlus 6T, you'll get a second fast charge adapter and USB Type-C cable with your purchase. Since the 6T already comes with that set in the box, you'll have a spare to keep in your laptop bag or at your work desk.

There will also be a second OnePlus 6T bundle which will get you a free fast car charger when you buy a 256GB model.

The bundles, as well as the $100-off sale for the OnePlus 6, will be valid until November 26, or while supplies last. Read more about the sale below.

Original Article, November 19, 2018 (12:28 PM EST): The OnePlus 6T is the newest flagship on the company's roster, but that doesn't mean the previous device is suddenly old news. On the contrary, the OnePlus 6 is a great device with very similar specs and features when compared to the OnePlus 6T.

With that in mind, if you are in the market for a new phone and want to save some coin, OnePlus will be selling the OnePlus 6 for $100 less than usual starting tomorrow, November 20, 2018. The deal goes live at 3:00 AM EST.

The tweet, unfortunately, leaves out any further details. For example, is this $100-off sale for all the variants of the device, or only the base model? How long will the sale last? We've reached out to OnePlus for clarification and will update this article when we get a response.

As of right now, OnePlus has the following OnePlus 6 models available on its site:

  • 6GB/64GB in Mirror Black — $529
  • 8GB/128GB in Silk White — $579
  • 8GB/128GB in Midnight Black — $579

The Mirror Black in the 8GB/128GB configuration, as well as the Midnight Black 8GB/256GB configuration, are currently out-of-stock. However, it's possible stock will become available for the sale tomorrow. It also appears the OnePlus 6 Red is completely unavailable, as it doesn't even have a listing on OnePlus.com.

Getting a brand new OnePlus 6 for less than $430 is certainly a bargain, so mark your calendars for this sale tomorrow!

Apple is postponing new iOS features in favor of reliability and performance

Apple has decided to postpone new features in iOS in favor of improving the reliability and performance of the operating system, as according to a report by Axios. According to the report, Craig Federighi, Senior Vice President, Software Engineering, announced the revised plan to employees at a meeting earlier this month. This pushes features like refresh of the homescreen and in-car user interface, improvements to core apps like Mail and camera experience to 2019. What we will get this year is improvements to AR, digital health and parental controls. Apart from that, the OS will largely feature improvements to performance and user experience.
