Xiaomi Mi A2 gets stable Android 9.0 Pie update

The Xiaomi Mi A2 has started receiving the Android 9.0 Pie update. This is the stable release and it brings with it the new gesture navigation, Adaptive battery and brightness and other improvements. Also, the November 5 security patch is included.

It seems that the update is rolling out in India first (that's where the screenshot comes from). We've seen reports that it's not available in Spain or Brazil yet, so chances are the global rollout is days away.

So, if you're in India, connect to a Wi-Fi and start downloading – the update is just over 1GB. Other Mi A2 users will have to wait a bit longer (but do check for updates from the About screen).

The Mi A2 Lite is running behind, it only started the beta test program a couple of days ago. The Mi A1 doesn't even have a beta yet.
