iPhone SE quietly reappears in Apple's online store, pricing starts at $249

iPhone SE review

When Apple announced the iPhone XS and iPhone XR last year, it stopped selling the iPhone SE, which meant the end of the 4-inch iPhone screen size. There's some good news today for fans of that form factor, though.

Apple has quietly started selling the iPhone SE again. The device is in the clearance section of Apple's web store, and as of this post's publication, the unlocked 32GB iPhone SE is available in gold or rose gold color options for $249. Also available is an unlocked 128GB iPhone SE in gold, rose gold, or silver for $299.

As a refresher, the iPhone SE has a 4-inch 1136x640 Retina display, 12MP camera with True Tone flash, and 1.2MP selfie camera. It's got an Apple A9 processor and M9 motion coprocessor, and there's a Touch ID home button below the display. And unlike Apple's recent iPhone models, the iPhone SE has a 3.5mm headphone jack, too.

The iPhone SE is getting a little long in the tooth, but it's got features that some folks will really appreciate. That includes the 4-inch screen, which is the smallest display Apple offers, and the 3.5mm headphone jack that's been missing from recent iPhone models. And while it launched nearly three years ago, it can run iOS 12, meaning it's got the latest software that Apple offers.

There's no telling how long the iPhone SE will be available from Apple, so if you're at all interested in buying one, you may want to do it sooner rather than later.
