Deal: eufy RoboVac 11 Robot Vacuum For $159 – Prime Day 2018

Image
eufy, a division of Anker, is selling its hugely popular RoboVac 11 robot vacuum for just $159 for Amazon Prime Day this year. This brings the RoboVac 11 back down to its all-time low, and makes it a great time to pick one up to keep your home nice and clean. The eufy RoboVac 11 is a great vacuum to pick up because it is slightly shorter than previous vacuums, which means it is able to go under furniture in your home pretty easily. On top of that, it also is a high suction vacuum, so it is able to get up all of the dirt and pet hair that you might not be able to see. Definitely important if you are having guests over that might be allergic to pets, as you don't want them to start coughing or sneezing or anything like that. This robot vacuum does have about 90 minutes of run time before it needs to return to its base for charging. That should be enough to vacuum your entire home, and if not, it can go for round two in a few hours. This does not map your home like some other vacuum

If you can get past the wide notch, the Alcatel 5V ain’t half bad

Image
Alcatel Alcatel quietly announced the Alcatel 5V, a new mid-range smartphone. The phone features a very wide display notch, dual cameras, and Android 8.1 Oreo. The Alcatel 5V launches in select markets sometime in July. Alcatel has been releasing a slew of low-end and mid-range smartphones lately, and today it quietly released one more. The new Alcatel 5V is the latest entry to the company's mid-range lineup and is expected to compete with Motorola's new Moto G6 . For a number of you, the Alcatel 5V's story either starts or ends with the display notch. Unlike the LG G7 ThinQ's and OnePlus 6's notches, which are small by comparison, the Alcatel 5V's is rather wide. The notch is reminiscent of the iPhone X's in terms of size, though there is no special hardware to take up that space. If you can get past the notch, almost everything else about the Alcatel 5V is rather decent. The phone features a 6.2-inch 19:9 display with Full HD+ (1,

Deal: Samsung Gear IconX (2018) Wireless Earbuds For $149 – Prime Day 2018

Image
Samsung discounted a wide variety of its products for this year's Prime Day , with its Gear IconX (2018) wireless earbuds being among those items. The latest iteration of the company's truly wireless in-ear headphones is now available for $149.99, $20 down its regular price. The catch, as is the case with a lot of deals that went live on Amazon today, is that you have to sign up for Prime membership in order to take advantage of this exclusive discount. Doing so is generally a good idea if you shop a lot online given how it will provide you with access to hundreds of exclusive deals on a regular basis, as well as other benefits such as access to the Prime Video service which rivals Netflix and free express shipping of select products. The Gear IconX (2018) earbuds themselves are lauded as one of the best products in its category, boasting 4GB of storage space that allows them to operate fully independently, i.e. without being paired to an Android or iOS smartphone. Deal: Sony KD55X720E 55-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart TV $478 – Prime Day 2018

Image
Those looking for a deal on a new TV might want to take a moment to check out the Sony KD55X720E (2017 model). This is a 55-inch 4K Ultra HD Smart TV and comes with a retail price of $799.99, although it can currently be picked up from a number of online stores for around $600. That said, Amazon has slashed the current pricing of those other stores by some margin as the Sony KD55X720E is now available for just $478. Making this a deal among deals. For that price, you are not only getting a 4K smart TV that also supports High Dynamic Range (HDR), but also one that is largely considered to be one of the better options for those looking for an alternative to a PC monitor within the price bracket. This is due to Sony's own Motionflow XR technology that accompanies the 60Hz native refresh rate, and the lower levels of lag when gaming – compared to alternate options. As for the smart features, this TV runs on Sony's own TV platform and provides access to a number of popular smart

Google boosts Play Games max level from 50 to 99

Image
... Do you play a lot of games on your phone despite the prevalence of in-app purchase minefields? Well, then you're braver than I. Heavy mobile gamers will be happy to know that Google has finally increased the level cap, which was stuck at an anemic 50. Now, you can get to levels as high as 99. Why bother? Because the number is larger, duh. As near as we can tell, the level cap was increased quietly starting a few weeks ago with a slow rollout of a new Play Games app update. If you install the v5.10 update (which you can get from APK Mirror ), you'll have the new higher cap. The changelog below confirms the level increase. Raise the roof! Now you can go all the way up to level 99. Search is back (wild applause). Find specific games right from the app. Finding your keys? Still up to you. The little banner at the top of games will no longer be stuck at 50, and you'll see experience points piling up in the full Play Games app o

Samsung Galaxy A6+ (2018) review

Image
Introduction The Samsung Galaxy A-series are going through a bit of an identity crisis with J-style metal replacing the glass in the lower end of the lineup. But we already knew that - we had the A6 (2018) in for review just last month. Now it's the plus's turn - the Galaxy A6+ (2018) brings more than just a bigger display. Well, for one, it's also higher-res - 1080p vs. the non-plus's 720p, and it's one of those Samsung-style 1080p's with an 18.5:9 aspect. Super AMOLED, naturally, and notchelss too - yay! There's also a secondary camera on the back - a 5MP depth-sensing module is there to assist the main 16MP shooter (shared between this year's As) in taking blurred background portraits. Meanwhile, a 50% bump in pixel count sees the A6+ sporting a 24MP front facing camera - all of a sudden the 16MP selfies of the A6 don't look that impressive. With a larger display comes the need for a higher battery capacity and the plus delivers - 3,

Samsung's next affordable smartphone to include an iris scanner

Image
Although Samsung is likely to replace the iris recognition technology with a more accurate 3D facial recognition sensor, the switch will only affect flagship smartphones like the Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S10. The handset maker plans to add iris recognition technology to its cheaper smartphones, something that the Korean media predicts it will happen in late 2018 or early 2019. One of the first affordable Samsung phones that will include an iris scanner is an updated version of the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime Plus. The original model was launched back in 2016, but Samsung plans to refresh ... #Google #Android #Smartphones #OS #News @ndrdnws #ndrdnws #AndroidNews

OnePlus 6 Red: Color so vibrant it’s hard to put into words [Video]

Image
(Red) hot on the heels of the standard OnePlus 6 comes the limited 'Red' edition. Beyond this new colorway, the internals and performance remain the same, but that color is just something special. We've already given our verdict of the outstanding original , so this is just a few quick thoughts on the updated lick of paint. VIDEO Unboxing experience Somewhat disappointingly, the unboxing experience has the phone face up — probably to prevent screen damage — I think OnePlus probably missed a trick by not having the red veneer instantly on show once you open the box. Inside the box you get a clear silicone case to protect that glass back from nicks, scratches, and oily fingerprints, which is good as my review unit has picked up plenty of paw prints from myself and you really wouldn't want to stick a skin on the back of this and ruin the aesthetic of the phone. If you buy a red phone and then stick on a loud colored vinyl, then you don't really deserve

[Deal Alert] Project Fi offering $300 service credit with purchase of LG G7 ThinQ or V35 ThinQ

Image
Project Fi only recently let non-Google phones join the party. Today, Fi has announced that two of those phones now come with a pretty enticing incentive. Purchasing either the LG G7 ThinQ or the V35 ThinQ from the carrier will net you $300 in service credit. Depending on how much data you use each month, that could go a long way. Your Fi future is lookin' bright: purchase and activate any LG phone on Fi and get $300 in service credit. https://t.co/5ktI6NCC0w pic.twitter.com/kU7ddKKHHz — Project Fi (@projectfi) July 16, 2018 On Twitter, Fi billed the promo as credit with purchase and activation of "any LG phone," but only the two are available. The G7 is $749, while the V35 is a whopping $899. The $300 account credit could help take the edge off those prices, though, especially if your purchase is financed through Project Fi. The promo runs through July 29 (the official terms say June 29, but that's obviously a typo). To get the deal, you have

Xiaomi Mi A2 teaser promises you’ll love it too

Image
The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is arriving with a sibling–the Mi A2. It can be confusing at times but to be clear, the Chinese OEM has just posted a separate teaser for the Mi A2. We showed you the Mi Max 3 earlier. It's still unofficial but the company is doing a Global Launch next Tuesday, July 24. Essential Phone on sale for Prime Day for $250, Ocean Depths model being given away

Image
The Essential Phone  has been a bit of a controversy, launching at $700 with a weak camera and some serious software bugs. Nonetheless the specs were top of the line and the materials were ridiculously nice; a ceramic back and titanium frame made for a hefty, unbelievably premium device. We could also blame Essential for introducing the notch, though the device's bezels are still thinner than most devices on the market. It's been almost a year since release, and the device has seen a transformation and some serious support. Not only has the camera been significantly improved, the Essential Phone has received security patches at the same time as Pixel devices on a consistent bases. It even has an Android P beta that's being updated on the same day as the betas on the Pixel devices. Despite the launch hiccups, it's a great time to pick up an Essential Phone. The device is being discounted to only $250 for Amazon Prime Day. $250 gets you last year's top end specs

OnePlus may rename Dash Charge to Warp Charge

Image
Jul 16 AT 2:08 PM Dima Aryeh 0 Comments Dash Charge was the name of OnePlus' proprietary fast charging method, but the name is no more  thanks to the trademark application being rejected in Europe. Since then, OnePlus has avoided using the Dash Charge name, instead referring to the fast charging method in generic ways. Now the company has filed for a new trademark with the European Union Intellectual Property Office. The new name is Warp Charge, a fitting name for a very quick fast charging system. However, it's still under examination and may not be approved for some time. We don't know if OnePlus will risk using an unapproved name again, as last time everything had to be rebranded once the name was rejected. The logo provided for the filing is also not very pretty. Let us know what you think of the new name! Via: XDA-Developers Source: EUIPO Dima Aryeh is a Russian obsessed with all things car and tech. His time is spl
