Huawei P20 Lite photo and features leak out: iPhone X-like notch, generous battery

Earlier this month, we saw renders allegedly showing the unannounced Huawei P20 Lite, a smartphone that will probably be unveiled on March 27 (alongside a regular Huawei P20, and a P20 Plus). Now, thanks to Venture Beat, we can take a look at what seems to be a real photo depicting the Huawei P20 Lite - see above.

As the aforementioned renders have shown, the most noticeable design element on the P20 Lite is its notch (à la Apple iPhone X) that sits at the top of its display. According to Venture Beat, this display is a 5.6-inch one with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 1080 ...

Samsung to build a P3 ‘total semiconductor factory’ in Pyeongtaek by 2021

It hasn't been long since Samsung completed the construction of its P2 semiconductor plant in Pyeongtaek, but now, the company is preparing to build its 3rd 'P3' semiconductor factory in the same city in the Gyeonggi Province. According to reports from the local media , Samsung wants to start constructing the P3 plant in September and make it fully operational by the end of 2021. The P3 plant will reportedly be 300 meters longer than the existing P2 plant, topping a total of 700 meters in length. Constructing the building itself should take roughly a year, and a few additional months will be needed to install the necessary equipment and ready it for mass production. Samsung's P3 plant could be a 'total semiconductor factory' Given the size of the P3 plant compared to the P2 factory, industry watchers speculate that Samsung might want to turn the P3 facility into a 'total semiconductor factory' capable of producing DRAM and NAND flash chips as well...

Sony Announces Smaller Digital Paper E-Ink Writing Tablet

Sony has now announced a smaller follow-up to last year's Digital Paper E-ink writing tablet, the DPT-RP1. That's according to a new announcement made today via Sony's official blog. The new tablet – also dubbed with Digital Paper branding but sold under the model number DPT-CP1 – seems to be the same basic design as the previous model. However, while that earlier device was sized as close as possible to A4 paper with a 13.3-inch display, the new model drops to A5 with a 10.3-inch display. That should make its use much easier under a wider number of circumstances since it will arguably be easier to hold in one hand while writing with the other.  However, there will certainly be other benefits as well.
