Google Weather is currently down on Google Home, Assistant, Android, and more

The weather is a very popular question that people search for and frequently ask Google Assistant on Home, Smart Displays, Android, and other devices. However, this particular search is currently experiencing some issues this morning and not providing back any results.

Asking Assistant, "What's the weather?" on phones this morning will not yield an answer, just a reply that it's "0 degrees Fahrenheit." Meanwhile, the query on both Android and the web will not yield the usual card that notes the temperature, an hourly forecasts, and other conditions.

Meanwhile, on Android, the Google Weather app built into Search notes how it's "Unable to show weather info." All cities around the world are affected so it is not a geographic problem. Google gets weather results from weather.com, but The Weather Channel is currently operational with results loading regularly.

It goes without saying that Samsung is going to spend a lot of money on marketing to get the word out that its new flagship smartphone is the one you should be buying this year. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ at an event in New York City today. Since it was an invite-only event, although it was streamed live online, Samsung decided to spend a lot of money to tell New Yorkers that the Galaxy S8 has arrived. Samsung illuminated the iconic Times Square in New York City with immersive displays reflective of the visual experience that the Galaxy S8′s Infinity Display promises. It basically bought out almost every available signage to announce the arrival of its newest flagship smartphone. As if that wasn’t enough, it even brought in a troupe of performers who danced “in celebration of the debut of the Galaxy S8.” Good stuff.
