Possible Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Flagship Leaks In Case Render

Samsung's Galaxy Note 9 may have been depicted in a recently emerged protective case render shared by one known industry insider on Twitter. While the image that can be seen above is understood to be of unofficial origin, the source maintains this could be the render that currently comes "the closest" to the actual look of the upcoming Android flagship. Samsung's high-end smartphones usually start leaking in real-life images and high-resolution renders between eight to ten weeks prior to their official announcement but the South Korean original equipment manufacturer managed to keep the Galaxy Note 9 under wraps for much longer and is still doing so.

Despite the fact that Samsung already attached an early August launch date to its next premium mobile offering, the Galaxy Note 9 has yet to leak online in the form of a highly credible image. Many details about the device still found their way to the World Wide Web, with most industry insiders agreeing that the phablet will be visually similar to its predecessor, with the main difference between the two being the position of their fingerprint readers. While the Galaxy Note 8 had a scanner mounted to the right of its rear-facing dual-camera setup, its successor is expected to feature such a sensor below its main imaging system. A Super AMOLED "Infinity Display" panel with a QHD+ resolution and an 18.5:9 aspect ratio is still expected to be part of the package, together with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space, at least for the base model.

Four memory configurations of the Galaxy Note 9 are said to be in the works, though the two more premium ones with 8GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of flash storage aren't expected to ever become officially available for purchase in the West. Samsung will be announcing its next premium mobile product at a New York City-based "Unpacked" event scheduled to take place on August 9, starting at 10 AM local time.
