Samsung Electronics Innovating the North American Air Conditioning Market with New Customer-Centric Solutions

Samsung Electronics today unveiled how it is innovating the North American air conditioning market at the 2017 International Air Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition ( AHR Expo ) in Las Vegas. Highlighted by the Max Heat Series designed specifically for cold regions as well as the world’s first wall-mounted Wind-Free AC, the products Samsung is showcasing at the AHR Expo have been driven by unique insights into the needs of consumers.   Samsung’s full Max Heat Series line-up was developed in response to consumer demand in the US and Canada for air conditioning systems that protect users from significantly lower temperatures. Samsung to launch new wireless noise cancelling headphones alongside the Galaxy S8

Samsung often launches new accessories with its flagship smartphones and it’s likely to do that in March when it unveils the Galaxy S8 . According to a new report, the company is going to launch the new Samsung Level In ANC wireless headphones with Active Noise Cancelling feature alongside the Galaxy S8. The company already launched a wired version of its in-ear Level In ANC headphones last year. Samsung claims they can reduce ambient noise by up to 20db for a more immersive listening experience. They also have a new feature called “Talk-in Mode” which enables users to hear outside sound so that they’re able to hear when someone calls their name. According to the report, the new Samsung Level In ANC wireless headphones with Active Noise Cancelling feature are going to be launched alongside the Galaxy S8 and will cost 130 euro. They will reportedly come in red, green, black and silver colors. Samsung is due to launch the Galaxy S8 in March. Recent reports suggest that it’s going to c

[Poll] Where should Samsung put the fingerprint sensor?

Following rumors that Samsung was going to ditch the physical home button for the Galaxy S8 we got what might possibly be our first glimpse at the next flagship last week . If everything it revealed is true then the Galaxy S8′s fingerprint sensor will be placed alongside the rear camera. So we’ve got to ask you, where do you think Samsung should put the fingerprint sensor? Vote below and let us know what you think about this in the comments below. It also ships running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, but is scheduled to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update in the country in the not-too-distant future. Samsung may soon fall to second place in the flash memory segment

Samsung is currently the world leader in the flash memory market with a share of 36.6 percent , but its position might soon be in danger. Toshiba, the second-largest flash memory maker in the world with a market share of 19.8 percent, has announced that it will spin off its core memory business and sell a 20 percent stake to Western Digital. Western Digital currently has a market share of 17.7 percent, but if it joins hands with Toshiba, their combined share of the flash memory market will exceed that of Samsung’s. Toshiba is looking to complete the sale by March 31, but there’s a possibility of the deal being denied by the anti-trust regulatory. Other possible investors include SK Hynix, Development Bank of Japan, and some other private equity firms. Via | Source

Unofficial Galaxy S8 render hints at what the design might look like

Image
We recently saw the first leaked live photo of the Galaxy S8 and it more or less confirmed some of the things we’ve been hearing about this handset. For example, it confirmed that the physical home button is being ditched and the fingerprint scanner is being moved to the back. It also confirmed that the handset will have an amazing display-to-body ratio. Since that leaked picture was a bit blurry, this unofficial render of the Galaxy S8 is going to give you a better idea of what the Galaxy S8 might look like. This render is based on the current rumors and reports about the Galaxy S8 so it’s not the real deal but works well as a reference point. The render shows us that the Galaxy S8 might have a dedicated hardware button for the Bixby artificial intelligence assistant , the edge-to-edge curved “Infinity” display and a fingerprint scanner on the back. What do you think about how the Galaxy S8 is shaping up to be so far? Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S8 on March 29 and r

Samsung heir Lee might face arrest once again

Samsung Electronics vice chairman and heir apparent Lee Jae-yong dodged arrested two weeks ago when the Seoul Central District Court rejected an arrest warrant request put forward by the special prosecutor’s office that’s looking into allegations of embezzlement and bribery against Samsung in connection with South Korea’s influence-peddling scandal . Samsung allegedly paid more than $35 million in bribes to organizations and foundations run by Choi Soon-sil, a close personal friend of President Park Geun-hye, to gain influence. According to a new report out of Korea on Sunday, the independent investigation team that’s looking into this corruption scandal is likely to seek an arrest warrant once again for Samsung heir Lee Jae-yong. The team is reportedly considering to try and get an arrest warrant for the Samsung heir once it’s done with the face-to-face investigation of the president by early next month. The court denied the first warrant request because it didn’t consider Lee to
