BlackBerry Ghost tipped to be coming this summer

Image
Back in February this year, renowned tipster Evan Blass revealed that a bezel-less, premium Android BlackBerry phone - dubbed Ghost - will be coming to India soon. And now, the tipster has said the arrival is set for this summer. After nothing new on these BlackBerry Ghost handsets from Optiemus for awhile, finally hearing that a summer release is expected. (Also told that the dual rear cameras feature low light enhancement and optical zoom.) — Evan Blass (@evleaks) May 24, 2018 Optiemus Infracom, which holds licenses to BlackBerry's brand in India, is responsible for designing and manufacturing of the device (or devices in the Ghost series). So the device(s) will be available in India initially. It's worth mentioning that Optiemus recently said they are planning to launch new phones under BlackBerry brand in the next two quarters. Google Lens is rolling out in French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish

Image
Google Lens' availability has been expanding ever since its first announcement. Although it started as an exclusive for Pixel owners in Google Photos , it quickly  showed up in Assistant too , then rolled to non-Pixel devices in Photos , and eventually made it to those devices in Assistant too . However, through it all, Lens in Assistant and Photos has been limited to one language: English. Até que enfim  it's now showing up for users in five other languages: French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. Google announced the new languages during I/O , but we missed that among the  kuddelmuddel  of news coming out of the event. Even then, they were said to be "coming," but now we've received several reports from users across France, Italy, Germany, and Brazil who are seeing Lens pop up on their devices too. No reports from Spain yet - maybe it's rolling out  despacito , or maybe everyone speaking Spanish is out dancing to  Lo Malo  or Te Boté now

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 To Feature 8GB RAM, 512GB Storage: Rumor

Image
The most premium variant of Samsung's Galaxy Note 9 may feature 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage space, known industry insider from China said earlier today, asserting users may see that memory configuration if they're "lucky." While the source in question has a largely  positive track record with leaks related to Samsung's products, the wording of their latest statement indicates the aforementioned specs haven't yet been decided on and are only being considered by the South Korean tech giant. The base model of the Galaxy Note 9 is still expected to debut with 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of storage space, much like its predecessor did last year. The same insider previously said Samsung will introduce at least one new smartphone color with the Galaxy Note 9 lineup, with its official name being " Teddy Brown ," thus indicating the Seoul-based phone maker will be delivering a brown Android flagship for the first time since 2013 and the Galaxy S4. We asked, you told us: Fast wired charging please, Android makers

Image
For this week's poll we thought rather than ask about individual handsets and makers, let's talk about something that's becoming a trend – wired, fast charging versus wireless charging – but not both. And here are the results! With the HTC U12 Plus launch this week and the OnePlus 6 before it, both devices were all-glass which is one of the necessary requirements for wireless charging. But, neither of them came with it. Both manufacturers said that this wasn't something they forgot, either! OnePlus indicated that its fast-charging solution known as Dash Charge (or VOOC) was plenty sufficient, while HTC told Android Authority that they left it out to make the battery as big and long-lasting as possible. Plus, HTC offer Quick Charge 3.0 and 4.0 compatibility, which offers very rapid charging indeed. But wireless charging is pretty handy, and if you've already invested in it, chances are it's a pretty big deal to you.  Android Authority team member a
