The OnePlus 6T price and memory configurations tipped, could be the most expensive OnePlus ever

Image
Тhe original OnePlus One launched at $299 and was an incredible value for its money then. Granted, flagship prices hadn't crossed the $1000 mark at the time, but still. The OnePlus 6T, however, started at $529, which was in its turn a price tag higher than that of its predecessor. We already noted that the 6T might have the largest retail and carrier presence for a OnePlus phone yet, and that could reflect on its pricing, as the selling, general and administrative costs would inevitably increase, too. Well, today's OnePlus 6T leak details all of its eventual ... #Google #Android #Smartphones #OS #News @ndrdnws #ndrdnws #AndroidNews

Schools in London give new life to old computers

Image
Replacing aging computers with new devices can be a strain on school budgets, which means that schools often find themselves with out-of-date hardware sitting in cupboards, collecting dust. However, there's a way to give old devices new life—by replacing their current operating system with one that's easy to use, manage and is ready for the cloud. We're partnering with London Grid for Learning , a nonprofit organization focused on improving schools' access to technology and Neverware (creator of the CloudReady operating system), to help schools across London extend the life of their old devices. LGfL has committed to purchasing CloudReady licenses for over 85 percent of London's schools so they can transform their slow, older hardware into fast, nimble devices that run just like Chromebooks. As CloudReady is based on Google's Chromium OS, it perfectly complements a cloud-first digital approach, such as using G Suite for Education. At Connaught School fo

Once the promo period expires, the phone will take you back with $79.99, which is still pretty affordable. Anyway, in case you don't know Android Go is a special version of Android designed to bring smooth experience on entry-level smartphones that have low amounts of RAM and storage. The end result is a top-notch user experience on a very affordable Android phone like the Coolpad Illumina. Xiaomi Pocophone F1 goes up for US pre-orders at B&H with a warranty, but no LTE

Image
After making big waves in India and across Europe, one of the most impressive budget devices in recent memory is finally up for grabs stateside. Unfortunately, what you're able to pre-order right now from B&H Photo Video is not technically a Xiaomi Pocophone F1 version designed specifically for the US market. That obviously means CDMA support for carriers like Verizon and Sprint is out of the question. Worse yet, this "international" handset with "international" LTE connectivity can't achieve 4G network speeds on AT&T or T-Mobile either. If you don't have a problem ... #Google #Android #Smartphones #OS #News @ndrdnws #ndrdnws #AndroidNews

Xiaomi Black Shark 2 shows up on Geekbench running Android 8.1 Oreo

Image
Xiaomi is all set to launch the follow-up to the Black Shark gaming smartphone released in April this year - it has an official landing page up, it has the TENAA clearance and supposedly a launch date as well. A Geekbench listing, however, is here to reveal some specs of the upcoming handset. According to the score sheet, the Black Shark 2 will ship with Snapdragon 845 and at least one of the version will feature 8GB of RAM - no surprise here. But the sheet also reveals Android 8.1 Oreo running out of the box. With Android 9.0 Pie out since August that's somewhat disappointing but with the way MIUI works, it was to be expected - a Pie-based update would normally arrive about half a year after the new Android version is finalized.
