As reported a couple of weeks ago , industry watchers predict that Samsung will ship anywhere between 30 to 40 million ODM (original design manufacturer) smartphones by the end of 2019, and it appears that the Galaxy A10s will play a role in this. The Galaxy A10s refresh was introduced earlier this week , and as it turns out, the device isn't manufactured by Samsung. Instead, according to the phone's FCC documents, the Galaxy A10s is manufactured by a company in China known as Jiaxing Yongrui Electron Technology. This effectively means that the Galaxy A10s is Samsung's second ODM smartphone following the Galaxy A6s launched in China last year. But unlike the Galaxy A6s which remained exclusive to the Chinese market, the new Galaxy A10s is expected to hit the shelves in other countries as well, including India. Samsung has added support for Bitcoin (BTC) tokens on its Blockchain Keystore wallet . According to updated information on the Samsung Developers website, the Blockchain Keystore SDK now supports Bitcoin, Klaytn and Ethereum tokens. Klaytn is a cryptocurrency released recently by the Korean social messaging giant Kakao. Samsung announced the Blockchain Keystore wallet with the launch of the Galaxy S10 series back in February. However, it was compatible only with Ethereum and Ethereum-derived ERC-20 tokens. The notable exclusion of Bitcoin, the world's number one cryptocurrency by market cap, left many of its proponents dismayed. They can now rejoice as the Blockchain Keystore SDK now supports their favorite crypto asset. At the Unpacked event last week, Samsung briefly spoke about the Galaxy Note 10's PC game streaming feature PlayGalaxy Link . The company, however, didn't provide any details about how the service works or when it is going to be available. We got a little more information about how PlayGalaxy Link works from a hands-on video Samsung posted on its Korean YouTube channel after the event. Now, TechCrunch is reporting the service will be available as a downloadable app for Android and Windows in early September. It also states the service will be free and leverages low-latency streaming technology from Parsec , a New York-based cloud gaming start-up. Interestingly, Parsec already has an Android app in early access on Google Play Store , and it is not limited to Samsung devices. This suggests that PlayGalaxy Link is perhaps just another rebranding effort by the Korean company, similar to the Note 10's Link to Windows feature. It's not clear if the PlayGalaxy Link app

The Galaxy S10 lineup is getting a new software update in a number of European markets today. The update brings the security patch for the month of August to the Galaxy S10e, S10, and S10+ and comes with software version G97*FXXS3ASH1 . It is rolling out in the Netherlands, the Nordic region, France, Bulgaria, United Kingdom, Romania, Germany, Greece, Switzerland, Ireland, Poland, Spain, Austria, Hungary, Italy, and the Czech Republic. Nothing but the new security patch is included in the update, which must be why Samsung has released it in nearly 20 countries at the same time. Almost every previous Galaxy S10 update has debuted in Switzerland before eventually expanding to other markets; the July security update also had a similarly slow rollout despite not including any new features, but hopefully that was just an exception and Samsung won't make Galaxy S10 owners wait too long for minor updates in the future. The latest Galaxy S10 update is a 112 MB download over the air.

Samsung had earlier confirmed that the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ won't work with the Gear VR but didn't offer an explanation for why that is the case, and we have now been told by one of our sources that the expiry of Samsung's partnership with Oculus is the reason for the lack of support for the Gear VR on the new flagships. Existing devices, like the Galaxy S10 lineup, should continue to work with Samsung's virtual reality headset. The smartwatch market is quite healthy and while it continues to grow year-over-year, Samsung is seemingly getting a share of the pie. According to Strategy Analytics, global smartwatch shipments were up by 44% at the end of Q2 2019 compared to a year ago, and Samsung more than doubled the number of smartwatches it shipped year-over-year. Samsung ships 2 million smartwatches, secures 2nd place Samsung shipped 0.9 million smartwatches in Q2 2018, but as the market segment continued to grow, so did the company's market presence. It doesn't look like the floodgates will close anytime soon when it comes to the number of budget and mid-range Galaxy phones Samsung is launching this year. A new Galaxy M series phone with model number SM-M107F has been certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance and has shown up on Geekbench , revealing that the Korean giant is working on what should be the Galaxy M10s, an iterative upgrade over the Galaxy M10 similar to devices like the Galaxy A10s and Galaxy A50s . And the M10s' main upgrade looks to be in the performance department – the SM-M107F is powered by an Exynos 7885/7904 chipset, the same one that powers the Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M30. A new update is now rolling out for T-Mobile's Galaxy Note 9 in the United States, bumping the software build up to N960USQU2CSGA . It reportedly introduces the long-awaited Night mode for the camera which should allow Note 9 users to capture better photos in low-light conditions. Presumably, given the build number, the update should also include the QR scanner feature. The package carries the same software build as the one released by Verizon for its Galaxy Note 9 last week. Along with the new features and enhancements, the update also pushes the July 2019 security patch onto the device. The Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ do not come with a USB-A to USB-C cable in the box, only a USB-C to USB-C cable. The Galaxy Note 10+ can go from 0 to 100 percent charge in just an hour and five minutes with the bundled 25W charger, as revealed by a couple of tests done on the device. The 4,300 mAh battery inside the Galaxy Note 10+ is the biggest yet on any Galaxy Note flagship, and the new Notes are also the first mainstream Galaxy flagships with support for 25W fast charging.
