The Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ have secured a new record in Samsung's home country: More than a million units of the new Note flagships have been sold in 25 days after they first went on sale. The Galaxy S8 had previously held the record – it had sold over a million units in 37 days after launch. The first-month performance for the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ is the best yet of any device in Samsung's S and Note series and more than double that of the Galaxy Note 9. T-Mobile has released an update with the September 2019 security patch for the Galaxy S10 lineup. T-Mobile was the slowest of the major US carriers with previous Galaxy S10 software updates , but this time around, it has beaten other carriers to the punch and is the first to roll out the September security patch to Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10+ owners stateside. The latest update for T-Mobile Galaxy S10 devices comes with firmware version G97*UOYN2BSI4 and doesn't bring anything other than the newest Android security patch, according to the changelog. The update is a roughly 200 MB download and is available over the air right now – you can update your Galaxy S10e, S10, or S10+ from the  Settings » Software update  menu on the device. OTA updates are usually released in stages, so you might have to wait a couple of hours before it's available for your phone. You can, however, skip the queue and jump onboard the new software by downloading the relevant firmware

After the Galaxy Note 8 and the Galaxy S9 series , the Galaxy Note 9 is now next in line to receive a new update introducing the September 2019 security patch . Rising trade tensions between South Korea and Japan have put Samsung Electronics in an uncomfortable position as it is one of the sponsors for the Summer Olympics in Tokyo next year. The Galaxy Note lineup has lost a lot of its charm in the last couple of years with the Galaxy S series acquiring many of its characteristics. The S Pen is the only significant differentiator left between the two, leading many to question the need for a separate Note lineup going forward. The argument is that Samsung could just add an S Pen to its future Galaxy S models to cater to the Note users. North American carrier Sprint has released a new update for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ . The update brings the September 2019 Android security patch to the 2018 flagships and sports software version  G960USQS6CSH8 and  G965USQS6CSH8 for the S9 and S9+ respectively. Nothing but security enhancements seems to be included in the update, and you can expect that to be the case for each update until Android 10 and One UI 2.0 come out for these phones. The security patch for September 2019 fixes four critical vulnerabilities in the Android operating system. It also patches more than a dozen high and moderate-risk vulnerabilities. Fixes for 17 vulnerabilities that were found in Samsung's own software are included as well. One of these vulnerabilities could allow brute force attacks on the lock screen password, while another allowed changing the USB configuration without needing to unlock a secured device.
