Google Search has a ‘Superb Owl’ Easter Egg for the Big Game

Easter Eggs are found all over Google's products and often, they're added for upcoming events. Ahead of the Big Game this weekend, Google Search has just added a "Superb Owl" Easter Egg to poke fun at the common misspelling.

The best gifts for Android users

For years now, an ongoing joke about the Super Bowl is how, with a quick move of the space, you'll have it actually say Superb Owl. The joke has even gone so far as spawning a subreddit which solely contains posts about owls.

Hilariously, Google is now jumping in on the joke in Search. When you misspell Super Bowl and Superb Owl, Google will still bring up the information/scores for the big game, but it'll also change the title up top from "Super Bowl LIII" to "Superb Owl" with what is definitely a remarkable owl to the side.

Super Bowl LIII is this Sunday, February 3rd at 6:30pm.

There are also new tools for podcasts. Spotify 's been my go-to music service for years now, but I'll be the first to say that its Android app is always due for improvement. The recent UI overhaul has made things a lot better, and according to some new features that were recently found in an APK teardown , a few cool tricks could be coming in the near future. First and foremost, the teardown reveals the ability to play songs that are locally stored on your Android device within Spotify. This isn't the same as fully uploading your tracks to the service the way you can with Google Play Music, but this is still a big step in the right direction. The "Your Library" tab also appears to be getting tweaked once more with a change to a tabbed layout for accessing your various playlists, songs, artists, etc. As it stands right now, these menu options are just stacked on top of one another above the titles you've recently listened to.
