Gorgeous-Looking & Believable Motorola Razr 2019 Concept Appears

A great-looking Motorola Razr 2019 concept has just surfaced online. Before we get into it, please do note that this is just a concept device created by a third-party, it's not a leak or anything of the sort. This concept actually came to life as a result of a recent report that Lenovo plans to revive the "Razr" brand, and Motorola's patent sketches that surfaced recently, we'll talk more about that in a second.

Now, this concept design surfaced on the "Yanko Design" website, and the site says that the designer behind this is a person called Sarang Sheth. The device that you can see in the gallery down below actually resembles the one shown in Motorola's patent listing quite a bit, which is mostly a good thing, as initial reactions to that patent filing were quite positive.

As you can see, this is a foldable smartphone, its display folds right down the middle, which essentially means that it has one of these new flexible displays, at least it was envisioned that way. When folded, the phone is quite tiny, and you do get access to its secondary display, which is also quite small, but enough to show you the time, your notifications, and various other info. Below the secondary display, you will notice a camera, which serves as both front-facing and rear-facing camera, depending on whether the phone is folded or not.

On the back of the device, you will notice yet another circle, in that circle lies Motorola's logo, and if this phone ever becomes a reality, it will probably serve as a fingerprint scanner as well, unless Motorola opts to include a fingerprint scanner under the display, which is a possibility. Now, when you open up the device, you get a large display, which is quite a bit taller than most of you are used to, at least on this concept handset.

You will notice that there are two hinges included on this phone, one on each side, which will make sure that the display doesn't get damaged when flexed. A notch for an earpiece and sensors is included at the top of the display, and the display actually has this interesting-looking arc on top and bottom. The chin on this phone is quite large when it's unfolded, but that shouldn't surprise those of you who are familiar with the original Motorola Razr.

Motorola Razr 2019 coming soon, but so are countless competitors

It was revealed earlier this month that the Razr brand is coming back, and it seems like it will be quite expensive. A couple of days after that report surfaced, sketches of the device appeared in Motorola's patent listing, and as already mentioned, those sketches have inspired this concept design, they're quite close to what you can see here.

This device actually looks quite interesting, different than any other design of a foldable smartphone we've seen thus far, that goes for both demo devices and sketches. Some people are touting this to be the best-looking foldable smartphone of 2019, while others don't like it all that much due to a smaller secondary display.

One thing is for sure, the design is somewhat unique, and it would definitely be interesting to see this phone in action, as it seems like it will be quite compact, and not too thick, which is one of the issues that first-gen foldable phones may encounter.
