Poll: Screen Protector or Nah?

Big news this morning, folks – Samsung is going to include a factory pre-installed screen protector on all variants of the Galaxy S10. OnePlus did the same thing with the OnePlus 6T and likely for the same reason as Samsung. Since these new phones have in-display fingerprint readers, these companies only trust their own in-house protectors to work properly with them. They also want you to buy them at $29.99 a piece because 💵.

Anyways, this news got me digging in our older polls to see if we've ever asked the DL community if screen protectors are in or not. As it turns out, we've never done a poll on this subject. I don't how that is possible, but we are changing that today!

Readers of this fine website, are you down with screen protectors? Do you use them on your phones? Do you leave the pre-installed, super icky plastic ones on devices? Do you buy fancy glass protectors for that extra, extra protection? Or do you fly naked?

Spotify app testing local song playback, Library UI changes, and more

There are also new tools for podcasts. Spotify 's been my go-to music service for years now, but I'll be the first to say that its Android app is always due for improvement. The recent UI overhaul has made things a lot better, and according to some new features that were recently found in an APK teardown , a few cool tricks could be coming in the near future. First and foremost, the teardown reveals the ability to play songs that are locally stored on your Android device within Spotify. This isn't the same as fully uploading your tracks to the service the way you can with Google Play Music, but this is still a big step in the right direction. The "Your Library" tab also appears to be getting tweaked once more with a change to a tabbed layout for accessing your various playlists, songs, artists, etc. As it stands right now, these menu options are just stacked on top of one another above the titles you've recently listened to. Google leaks Nest Hub Max, 10-inch HD screen and a camera in tow

Google has accidentally leaked details about its unannounced product dubbed Nest Hub Max. It posted images on its online store revealing information about this product. The images have now been taken down, but the folks over at Android Police managed to take their screenshots before Google rectified its mistake. These images tell us that the Nest Hub Max will come with a 10-inch HD display, and the device will also sport stereo speakers. It will also have a built-in Nest Cam for motion and sound alerts, and you will be able to make video calls to your friends and family through Google Duo with it. Nest Hub Max details The website didn't have any actual photos of the Nest Hub Max, so we don't know what exactly it looks like - that much they managed to keep secret.
