Galaxy A20s also in the works, gets Bluetooth certification

Samsung's onslaught of mid-range smartphones is far from over. The company is working on multiple Galaxy A series phones for 2020, but its 2019 launches aren't done yet, either. Bluetooth certification has revealed that another 's' variant of one of the 2019 Galaxy A smartphones is in the works. This time, it's the Galaxy A20s, carrying model number SM-A207F.

It's unknown what upgrades the A20s will offer over the Galaxy A20, but we can expect the dual rear camera to change to a triple camera setup, perhaps the same one found on the Galaxy A30. After all, with the Galaxy A30s getting the Galaxy A50's rear camera setup, it wouldn't be far-fetched to assume Samsung will do something similar for the Galaxy A20s. The 8MP front camera found on the Galaxy A20 could also get an upgrade, and perhaps more storage and RAM will also be offered (the A20 comes only in a 3GB+32GB configuration).

We can confirm that the A20s is being tested with Android 9 Pie, but everything else is a mystery for now. More information should surface online soon, however. With the Bluetooth certification a go, it shouldn't be long before the Galaxy A20s gets spotted on benchmarks and other certification websites, like the Wi-Fi Alliance, revealing more details about the handset.

It hasn't been long since Samsung completed the construction of its P2 semiconductor plant in Pyeongtaek, but now, the company is preparing to build its 3rd 'P3' semiconductor factory in the same city in the Gyeonggi Province. According to reports from the local media , Samsung wants to start constructing the P3 plant in September and make it fully operational by the end of 2021. The P3 plant will reportedly be 300 meters longer than the existing P2 plant, topping a total of 700 meters in length. Constructing the building itself should take roughly a year, and a few additional months will be needed to install the necessary equipment and ready it for mass production. Sony Announces Smaller Digital Paper E-Ink Writing Tablet

Sony has now announced a smaller follow-up to last year's Digital Paper E-ink writing tablet, the DPT-RP1. That's according to a new announcement made today via Sony's official blog. The new tablet – also dubbed with Digital Paper branding but sold under the model number DPT-CP1 – seems to be the same basic design as the previous model. However, while that earlier device was sized as close as possible to A4 paper with a 13.3-inch display, the new model drops to A5 with a 10.3-inch display. That should make its use much easier under a wider number of circumstances since it will arguably be easier to hold in one hand while writing with the other.  However, there will certainly be other benefits as well.
