Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge user manuals revised with Android Nougat changes

Samsung has confirmed that the Nougat beta program for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge is at an end, and the company has said that it will do its best to release the final update by the end of January. Samsung isn’t promising anything, but it certainly seems confident of meeting the provided time frame, as revised user manuals based on Android 7.0 are now available online for both devices.

The revised Galaxy S7 edge manual is available in English, Dutch, and German, while the S7 manual seems to have been updated only in English for the time being. The manual gives us a good look at the new user interface that will grace the two devices with the Nougat update, and our What’s New With Nougat series is what you should be reading to see the major changes that it brings to the S7 and S7 edge.

Samsung to build a P3 ‘total semiconductor factory’ in Pyeongtaek by 2021

It hasn't been long since Samsung completed the construction of its P2 semiconductor plant in Pyeongtaek, but now, the company is preparing to build its 3rd 'P3' semiconductor factory in the same city in the Gyeonggi Province. According to reports from the local media , Samsung wants to start constructing the P3 plant in September and make it fully operational by the end of 2021. The P3 plant will reportedly be 300 meters longer than the existing P2 plant, topping a total of 700 meters in length. Constructing the building itself should take roughly a year, and a few additional months will be needed to install the necessary equipment and ready it for mass production. Samsung says upcoming Galaxy M handsets will be better and cheaper

The Galaxy M series has proven to be very successful for Samsung. Sony Announces Smaller Digital Paper E-Ink Writing Tablet

Sony has now announced a smaller follow-up to last year's Digital Paper E-ink writing tablet, the DPT-RP1. That's according to a new announcement made today via Sony's official blog. The new tablet – also dubbed with Digital Paper branding but sold under the model number DPT-CP1 – seems to be the same basic design as the previous model. However, while that earlier device was sized as close as possible to A4 paper with a 13.3-inch display, the new model drops to A5 with a 10.3-inch display. That should make its use much easier under a wider number of circumstances since it will arguably be easier to hold in one hand while writing with the other.  However, there will certainly be other benefits as well.
