Samsung SoundAssistant update intros vertical volume sliders and EQ

Samsung has launched a new update to its SoundAssistant app, pushing it to version 3.3.07 and introducing a new vertical volume slider that replaces the default horizontal one. The new volume panel also offers quick access to an equalizer and a Dolby Atmos toggle among other goodies and quick settings.

The vertical volume panel pops up from the right side of the screen by default, but users can choose to relocate it to the opposite side. They can also pick a color for the volume panel, including the system-wide theme which follows Light or Dark Mode, and five additional color presets that don't change based on the system's theme.

Samsung already streamlined the default volume panel in One UI 2.0 to make it less obtrusive. Those changes were welcomed, but SoundAssistant elevates the volume controls to a new level.

Not only does it offer a vertical slider/volume panel after the latest update, but it also gives you easy access to a variety of sound-related settings and features. You can even create and save custom equalizer presets, and then share them with other Galaxy smartphone users in your contacts list.

You can grab the latest SoundAssistant version from the Galaxy Store or by heading over to our APK archive and download it manually from there.

Samsung Display remains the leader in global display market

The latest data from IHS Markit shows that Samsung Display has retained its dominant position as the top global smartphone display vendor in the first quarter of this year. It was able to do that as more smartphone manufacturers opted for OLED panels for their premium devices. Samsung picked up the bulk of those orders. Samsung's display affiliate is estimated to have shipped $3.4 billion worth of smartphone displays in the first quarter ending March 2019. It accounted for 40.2 percent of the smartphone display market in this period. Samsung Display also accounted for 80 percent of OLED panel supplies. Samsung Display retains its leadership It's pertinent to mention here that Samsung's Q1 market share is 6.6 percentage points lower than it was in the same period last year. T-Mobile starts rolling out Android 10 update to Galaxy Tab S6

Samsung started the rollout of Android 10 to its current-generation flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S6 , three months ago. One month later, Verizon released the Android 10 update to the Galaxy Tab S6 on its network. Now, T-Mobile has released the Android 10 software update to the tablet on its network in the US . The new software update with firmware version  T867USQU2BTE1 brings Android 10 to the LTE variant of the Galaxy Tab S6 (SM-T867U). It also features One UI 2.1 and the May 2020 Android security patch . The file size of the update is over 2.1GB, so we would advise you to use a Wi-Fi connection to download the new software. Although T-Mobile's changelog doesn't mention new features, the Android 10 update brings smoother animations and transitions, Google's gesture-based UI navigation, improved Dark Mode, tweaked color scheme and icons, and more.
