Global Variants Of Nokia X6 Pass Bluetooth Certification

Image
It seems like two global variants of the Nokia X6 just got their Bluetooth certification. The Nokia TA-1083 and TA-1116 have been certified, claims NPU (Nokia Power User). The source claims that the Nokia TA-1116 will be released in Russia, amongst other markets, and that both of these phones are actually global variants of the Nokia X6 which was originally announced in China last month. You can check out the certification listing via the provided image down below, while the original listing link was not provided by NPU, and we were unable to track it down, so take this with a grain of salt, though NPU has a really good track record when it comes to Nokia devices. The Nokia X6's global model(s) got certified by the NCC in Taiwan earlier this month, which suggested that a global model is coming. Nokia's Chief Product Officer (CPO), Juho Sarvikas, actually shared a poll via his official Twitter account last month trying to find out whether consumers outside of China are inter

Andy Android emulator installer could be installing a cryptominer

Image
Android has, justified or not, earned a reputation of being easily compromised by malware, especially when installing apps from third-party sources. On the desktop side, that has traditionally been Windows' infamy. In an almost comical but also dangerous twist of fate, those two come together in the Andy Android emulator for Windows. According to reports, the makers of the emulator … Continue reading #Google #Android #Smartphones #OS #News @ndrdnws #ndrdnws #AndroidNews

Amazon Mayday live video support is no more

Image
We haven't been featuring Mayday but this special service by Amazon will soon be gone. Not the full service yet but the live video customer support for Kindle Fire tablets. We're kind of confused about this move because the support has been really helpful. It's been over five years since the customer support service was introduced and we know customers are happy with Amazon Mayday. The video calling feature for the Fire tablet somehow redefines customer support because of the on-screen experience. Mayday was introduced back in 2013 as a 24/7 live video tech support for the Kindle Fire HDX tablets. It has since extended to other Kindle series but this June, the top e-commerce company is putting an end to the on-device tech support. Apparently, a related announcement has been out and yet with very few notices. This revolutionary tech support service will be gone soon for unknown reasons. If you regularly contact the support team, you can see the update. Don't

Is LG working on an Android One phone that will be a T-Mobile exclusive in the US?

Image
LG may be working on an Android One smartphone. Evidence related to this have been found in the kernel source code for the yet-to-be-launched LG Stylo 4 . The device - codenamed 'cv5a' - may be a T-Mobile exclusive in the United States. The confirmation that 'cv5a' is an Android One device comes from the suffix 'sprout,' which you'll find in the codename for almost every Android One device released so far. As for specifications, based on the information dug out from the kernel source code, the handset is powered by Snapdragon 450 SoC, and features a 5.5-inch FHD+ (1080×2160) 18:9 LCD panel. RAM should be around 2-3GB, while battery is said to be of 3,000mAh capacity. No information on camera sensors, but the device possibly features a camera button. Other details include USB Type-C port, NFC, Android 8.1, and no fingerprint sensor (in the US at-least). Via #Google #Android #Smartphones #OS #News @ndrdnws #ndrdnws #AndroidNews

OxygenOS 5.1.8 for OnePlus 6 optimizes call quality

Image
Just a couple of days after dropping the OxygenOS 5.1.7 update , OnePlus has started rolling out another update to OnePlus 6 users. The new update arrives as OxygenOS 5.1.8, and brings along call quality optimizations, system stability fixes, and network stability improvements. On the face of it, the update may seem minor, but it's actually not. The company had to pull the 5.1.6 update due to issues faced by OnePlus 6 users, especially in India. As promised , this new, 5.1.8 update should contain fixes for those issues. It's also worth mentioning that for OnePlus 6 users in India, the 5.1.8 build also contains all the features included in the 5.1.7 update (mainly the Do Not Disturb scheduling issue fix), which wasn't officially rolled out in the region.
