Xiaomi Mi A1 now receiving the Android 8.0 Oreo update


Xiaomi's first Android One smartphone, the Mi A1 is finally eligible for an Android 8.0 Oreo update after a short period of beta testing. Unlike many of its Android smartphones that are selling exclusively in China, the Mi A1 is available in a lot more countries.

Also, since it's part of the Android One program, the smartphone should be among the first to receive a major Android OS update. Unfortunately, it took Xiaomi quite a long time to bring Oreo to the Mi A1.
