You can now register for the first flagship of 2018 in India. The Honor View 10, also known as the Honor V10, is now up for registration on Amazon India. You can't pay for the device yet, but you can get notified of its release on January 8, 2018. Although Amazon India has a listing up, pricing details are still a mystery.
India isn't the only region that will see the device in January. The phone will be known as the Honor V10 here in the United States and launch on the same day. We don't know the US price yet, but the price in Europe is €499 (£449), or roughly $600. It'll initially be available in Midnight Black and Navy Blue, although Gold and Red versions may launch at some point.
The Honor View 10/V10 uses Huawei's own Kirin 970 flagship SoC. It comes in two variants, one with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, and another with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, though both have expandable storage. The device sports a 5.99-inch LCD display with a 1,080 x 2,160 resolution. Even though the display has an 18:9 aspect ratio, it has a bottom bezel big enough for Huawei to include a fingerprint scanner.
Despite dropping the Leica branding, the V10's cameras are still impressive. It features Huawei's standard 16 MP color + 20 MP monochrome sensors on the rear. Those are complemented by a 13 MP shooter on the front that the V10 will use for AI and face recognition, as well as snapping selfies.
Rounding out the spec sheet is a 3,750 mAh battery with quick charging, a headphone jack, and Android 8.0 Oreo with Huawei's EMUI 8.0 skin on top.
