Lego’s Powered Up kits are controlled by your smartphone and heading to Australia
Lego has always been an innovative construction toy for allowing children (and adults) to explore their creativity; the Lego Powered Up series announced last week expands on that heritage with a connection to a smartphone letting you bring your creativity to the 21st Century.
The Powered Up line will begin with the LEGO Super Heroes 76112 App-Controlled Batmobile, a 321 piece lego set with an included Batman Minifigure which will allow kids and adults alike to build the vehicle then control it with the Powered Up app which will be available for both Android and iOS.
The Powered Up line will expand down the track with a Lego Ninjago Stormbring dragon, a roller coaster, two Lego trains – the Lego City Passenger Train and the Lego City Cargo Train, as well as to Duplo for younger users with the Lego Duplo Steam Train and the Lego Duplo Cargo Train.
As for availability the Batmobile will be arriving in Australia on August 1st for a RRP of $139.99, though it will be in limited supply, so demand will definitely be high. We'll have more details on where you can buy the LEGO Super Heroes App-Controlled Batmobile as we get closer to launch.
