Samsung Announces Red-Colored Galaxy S9 & S9 Plus In China

Samsung China has just announced a new Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus color option, Red. The Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus were originally announced in Coral Blue, Lilac Purple, Midnight Black, and Titanium Gray color variants, and their availability is still market dependent, well, this new red-colored Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus variants will become available in China really soon, though there's still no word if those variants will land in any other markets, even though they probably will.

This new Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus color variant is actually somewhat similar to the Burgundy Red Galaxy S8, and it's quite surprising that the company opted to announce a new color variant of its two flagships so soon. The Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus were introduced back in February, and have been available for purchase since March, Samsung usually waits for about half a year (post-launch) in order to announce new color options. Both the red-colored Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus are already listed on the company's official website in China, and those of you who live in China and are interested in getting either of these two phones can pre-order them already, it seems. Now, the Red Galaxy S9 comes in both 64GB and 128GB storage variants, and those two variants are priced at 5,799 Yuan ($911) and 6,099 Yuan ($958), respectively. The Red Galaxy S9 Plus, on the other hand, comes in a 128GB storage option only, and it is priced at 6,999 Yuan ($1,099) in the country.

Now, aside from some storage differences, these two devices are completely identical to any other Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus model out there. Both devices are made out of metal and glass, while both are fueled by the Snapdragon 845, as we're looking at Chinese models here. Android Oreo comes pre-installed on both phones, and the same can be said for Samsung's custom UI. The Galaxy S9 sports a 5.8-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display, while the Galaxy S9 Plus comes with a 6.2-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED panel. The Galaxy S9 sports a 3,000mAh battery, while the Galaxy S9 Plus comes with a 3,500mAh battery pack. If you'd like to pre-order the Red Galaxy S9 or S9 Plus, follow the source link down below.
