You can now add Alexa as the default Assistant on your Android device

Since launching their Alexa Voice Assistant officially in Australia earlier this year, it seems Amazon is getting more useful. It's also getting easier to use Alexa in your every day life now with the option to set her as your default Voice Assistant.

Found by reddit user Alexa app from Google Play installed on your phone, then go to Settings > Apps & Notifications > Default Apps > Assist & voice input and then select 'Assist App' – or just search 'Assist App' in your Settings. Once there you'll see the option to change Google Assistant to Alexa.

As you can see there's more than just Google Assistant, Cortana and Alexa in the voice assistant space, you can also choose to use others if you want to track them down. Alexa is quite a useful assistant as I've been finding while reviewing their Echo Devices (Spot review coming shortly). If you're of a mind to try it out, you can do so by downloading the Alexa app from Google Play.
