YouTube Red is Now YouTube Premium, Includes YouTube Music Subscription

As was noted earlier in a post about the launch of YouTube Music and YouTube Music Premium, Google has also re-branded YouTube Red to YouTube Premium.

YouTube Premium is a paid tier of YouTube that allows you to watch videos without ads, listen to them in the background, download them, and watch original series and movies produced for YouTube. Again, it's just Red, only with a new name that probably makes a lot more sense.

The new YouTube Premium costs $11.99 for new customers and includes a YouTube Music Premium subscription. If you already have a YouTube Red subscription, you get to keep your current price.

YouTube Premium is rolling out "soon" in existing markets with expansion headed for countries like Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, and Russia in the near future.

Once again, the year is drawing to a close. Of course, we also looking back over a year of reporting right here in the office, but what has inspired us the most in the past twelve months? DJI showcased its new Mavic Air drone in New York. The third quadcopter in this series is of similar quality to its predecessors and can also fold its arms for better portability. For its size, no competitor offers so much in terms of photo quality. Release date and price The DJI Mavic Air can be ordered through the official DJI website  and is also available from other retailers. The drone is available in three colors: marengo grey, white and red. AT&T rolls out improved prepaid plans

AT&T today rolled out some changes to its prepaid plans , and they're all for the better. First up, AT&T has ditched its 6GB plan and replaced it with an 8GB plan. The regular price of the 8GB plan is a bit more than the 6GB plan — $50 vs $45 — but if you enroll in autopay, the 8GB plan will cost you the same $40 per month as the 6GB plan. This plan includes 8GB of high-speed data, unlimited talk and text to Mexico and Canada, and the ability to use your talk, text, and data in Mexico and Canada. Like AT&T's other prepaid plans, it also includes unlimited talk and text in the U.S. Also of note is that AT&T is making its $65 unlimited plan cheaper for those that enroll in autopay. Previously this plan would cost $60 per month with autopay, but now it'll cost $55 per month with autopay. This plan includes unlimited high-speed data but no mobile hotspot or HD video streaming. If you thought the Pixel 2 and 2 XL were expensive, you probably weren't very happy when you saw the Pixel 3's $799 and Pixel 3 XL's $899 MSRPs. The Pixel 3 XL received a modest $50 jump in price from the 2 XL, but the Pixel 3 went up by a whopping $150 when compared to the Pixel 2.
