Galaxy A80 goes up for pre-order in UAE, includes free Galaxy Fit e

The eluding Galaxy A80 is finally making concrete progress towards a market release. The smartphone is now available for pre-order in the UAE via Samsung's own website, just in time to make the early-July launch timeframe confirmed by the company after the phone's delay.

The Galaxy A80 carries a pre-order price of 2,399 AED ($653) and prospective buyers can choose from three color options including Phantom Black, Angel Gold, and Ghost White. As expected, the device comes in a single storage option with a capacity of 128GB and lacks a microSD expansion slot.

Free Galaxy Fit e for pre-ordering customers

Samsung is sweetening the deal by offering the Galaxy Fit e wearable (read our review here) for free alongside Galaxy A80 pre-orders. Those who will pre-order the smartphone can expect their orders to be fulfilled sometime between the 4th and 7th of July. It's worth noting that the "terms & conditions" PDF mentions that the free Galaxy Fit e included with the pre-order "shall be subject to availability." This could mean that the company might not be able to fulfill its promise to every customer if the stock will run dry before the pre-order window closes.

One of the smartphone's main attractions is the triple-lens rotating camera which handles both landscape and selfie photography. It also takes advantage of the same 25W fast charging technology as the Galaxy S10 5G.

It's likely that the Galaxy A80 will soon become available for pre-order in other regions, but it remains to be seen if the Galaxy Fit e pre-order bonus will apply in every market.
