Xperia Ace: Is an international release now more likely?

Sony Mobile recently announced the Xperia Ace (SO-02L) for the Japanese market. This is Sony's smallest handset released in 2019, with a 5-inch FHD+ display, a water resistant body, Snapdragon 630 chipset, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

While we only had the initial renders to view on release, we now get to see the first in-the-wild pictures, and from what we've seen, we'd love to see an international release.

There is no expectation of that happening anytime soon, although the J3137 model number recently popped up in a user-agent profile (UAProf), with a similar type number (PM-1171-BV) to the Japanese version of the Xperia Ace SO-02L (PM-1170-BV). The format of the new model number (J3137) is that used for international models, so there's a good chance of the Xperia Ace appearing outside of NTT docomo at least. However, whether that is to another Japanese carrier or a proper global release, remains to be seen for now.
