Check out Samsung’s new and colorful ISOCELL GN1 introduction video

Samsung is promoting its latest ISOCELL GN1 image sensor through a new Official Introduction video highlighting some of its specifications, from the 50MP resolution and 1.2-micrometer pixels to Smart-ISO with dual sensitivity. This is the company's first-ever image sensor to combine Tetracell and Dual Pixel technologies, and Samsung claims that its ultra-fast autofocus capabilities are comparable to a DSLR camera.

While the promotional video is new, the ISOCELL GN1's technical details have been known for over a month now. The company unveiled the ISOCELL GN1 in mid-May and it turns out that the Vivo X50 Pro might be the first smartphone to use it.

Samsung's colorful new video focuses on some of the ISOCELL GN1's biggest strengths, such as ISOCELL Plus and the vivid colors it can produce, real-time HDR capabilities, and Tetracell technology that combines four pixels into one to produce bright night shots thanks to tri-level exposure for shadows, midtones, and highlights. Super-fast autofocus is enabled by 100 million focus units (two per pixel).

The ISOCELL GN1 is already in mass production and it should become available in a consumer-grade mobile device, likely a Vivo-branded one, later this year. Samsung Display remains the leader in global display market

The latest data from IHS Markit shows that Samsung Display has retained its dominant position as the top global smartphone display vendor in the first quarter of this year. It was able to do that as more smartphone manufacturers opted for OLED panels for their premium devices. Samsung picked up the bulk of those orders. Samsung's display affiliate is estimated to have shipped $3.4 billion worth of smartphone displays in the first quarter ending March 2019. It accounted for 40.2 percent of the smartphone display market in this period. Samsung Display also accounted for 80 percent of OLED panel supplies. Samsung Display retains its leadership It's pertinent to mention here that Samsung's Q1 market share is 6.6 percentage points lower than it was in the same period last year. Some OnePlus 6Ts have an issue with waves of static on the display

Based on a handful of reports on the OnePlus product forums, some 6T owners have run into a problem with their phone's display in which a pixelated sort of "wave" or pulse of bright colors travels up or down the screen. A reliable trigger can't seem to be found, but for those that are affected, it appears to happen more often on the lock screen while using either OnePlus' face recognition or the in-display fingerprint sensor to unlock the phone. The issue — which our Cody Toombs aptly described as "like something changed in the Matrix" — is demonstrated in the video below: VIDEO Based on reports, a factory reset can't fix the problem, and it doesn't appear to be tied to any specific SKU. T-Mobile starts rolling out Android 10 update to Galaxy Tab S6

Samsung started the rollout of Android 10 to its current-generation flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S6 , three months ago. One month later, Verizon released the Android 10 update to the Galaxy Tab S6 on its network. Now, T-Mobile has released the Android 10 software update to the tablet on its network in the US . The new software update with firmware version  T867USQU2BTE1 brings Android 10 to the LTE variant of the Galaxy Tab S6 (SM-T867U). It also features One UI 2.1 and the May 2020 Android security patch . The file size of the update is over 2.1GB, so we would advise you to use a Wi-Fi connection to download the new software. Although T-Mobile's changelog doesn't mention new features, the Android 10 update brings smoother animations and transitions, Google's gesture-based UI navigation, improved Dark Mode, tweaked color scheme and icons, and more.
