Best Buy offering a $100 gift card, 256GB microSD card and wireless charger with Galaxy S7 purchase

If you’ve been on the fence about purchasing a Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge and you’re based in the United States, you might want to take advantage of this new promotion that Best Buy is offering. The retailer is currently offering a $100 gift card, a 256GB microSD card and a Samsung wireless charger with every purchase of a Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge. Customers don’t have to choose one from these three gifts because they will get all three.

Customers have to purchase a Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge from Best Buy and activate on Verizon Device Payment, AT&T Next or Sprint 24-Month Installment to be eligible for this promotion. Once that’s done, they will receive a $100 Best Buy gift card that can be used to purchase anything available at the retailer while the Samsung Fast Charge wireless charger which costs $59.99 and the 256GB Samsung Evo+ microSD card which costs $249.99 will be automatically added to the cart.

This is a pretty good deal as the incentives on offer here are well worth the money. Bear in mind that Best Buy says that quantities are limited so be sure to get your order in quick if this interests you.

Samsung Display remains the leader in global display market

The latest data from IHS Markit shows that Samsung Display has retained its dominant position as the top global smartphone display vendor in the first quarter of this year. It was able to do that as more smartphone manufacturers opted for OLED panels for their premium devices. Samsung picked up the bulk of those orders. Samsung's display affiliate is estimated to have shipped $3.4 billion worth of smartphone displays in the first quarter ending March 2019. It accounted for 40.2 percent of the smartphone display market in this period. Samsung Display also accounted for 80 percent of OLED panel supplies. ARCore apps are now available for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S in China

Google's ARCore apps can now run on the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S in China. The apps are available in the Xiaomi App Store through a partnership with Google. A tweet from the Google AR & VR Twitter account announced the news today, although the exact ARCore apps that are now compatible with the Mi Mix 2S were not named. Google did say in the tweet that more partners for ARCore are coming soon. The Mi Mix 2S is the first phone from the manufacturer to support ARCore. Some OnePlus 6Ts have an issue with waves of static on the display

Based on a handful of reports on the OnePlus product forums, some 6T owners have run into a problem with their phone's display in which a pixelated sort of "wave" or pulse of bright colors travels up or down the screen. A reliable trigger can't seem to be found, but for those that are affected, it appears to happen more often on the lock screen while using either OnePlus' face recognition or the in-display fingerprint sensor to unlock the phone. The issue — which our Cody Toombs aptly described as "like something changed in the Matrix" — is demonstrated in the video below: VIDEO Based on reports, a factory reset can't fix the problem, and it doesn't appear to be tied to any specific SKU.
