Huawei P20 Lite Breaks Cover Ahead of March Announcement

Huawei has three phones coming down the pipe, each of which is expected to be announced at an event in Paris, France, which is scheduled to take place on March 27.

The Huawei-branded P20 will be the star of the show, but it will be bringing with it two other variants: The P20 Lite and the P20 Plus. Each of these devices will boast varying specifications, but if the latest report on the P20 Lite is any indicator, it looks like the company won't be trying to skimp on the features in its smallest option of the three new handsets.

VentureBeat has a new report on the P20 Lite, not only publishing the first image of the handset, but also revealing a few key specifications based on information gathered from an unnamed source. The P20 Lite is expected to boast a 5.6-inch display, which should have a resolution of 2250×1080, with a near bezel-less design an an aspect ratio of 18:9.

Around back, there will be a pair of cameras, each of which will be a 16-megapixel shooter. And under the hood, the P20 Lite will have an octa-core Kirin 659 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of built-in storage, and Android 8.0 Oreo running under Huawei's EMUI 8.0 UI. The battery is said to be 3520mAh, and the handset will have a fingerprint reader on the back.

The handset also has a notch at the top of the 5.6-inch display.

So, there's the Huawei P20 Lite. What do you think? Is this your next daily driver?
