Logitech Harmony Elite on sale for $250 ($100 off) at Best Buy with a free $50 gift card

It's easy to find yourself buried in remotes as you seek to build the perfect home entertainment system. Logitech's Harmony remotes have long sought to reduce the clutter, but they're spendy. The flagship Harmony Elite usually costs a whopping $350—you can get a TV for that price. It's $100 cheaper right now, and Best Buy will even throw in a $50 gift card.

The Harmony Elite is essentially an internet connected universal remote. The system comes with a touchscreen remote, a hub, and a few mini IR blasters (there's also an app). You can program all your home theater devices into the remote and automate tedious things like switching inputs. The Harmony Elite also works with Google Assistant and Alexa, so you can yell at the TV, and it'll actually do things for once. Note: this will not make your favorite sports team play better.

We've seen the Harmony Elite dip a little lower ($220) in the past, but that deal didn't include any extras. This time, the device costs $250, but Best Buy will send you a $50 gift card via email after you buy. It's a total savings of $150 if you count that. The Harmony Elite is available at most Best Buy stores, but you can also have it shipped.

Sony Announces Smaller Digital Paper E-Ink Writing Tablet

Sony has now announced a smaller follow-up to last year's Digital Paper E-ink writing tablet, the DPT-RP1. That's according to a new announcement made today via Sony's official blog. The new tablet – also dubbed with Digital Paper branding but sold under the model number DPT-CP1 – seems to be the same basic design as the previous model. However, while that earlier device was sized as close as possible to A4 paper with a 13.3-inch display, the new model drops to A5 with a 10.3-inch display. That should make its use much easier under a wider number of circumstances since it will arguably be easier to hold in one hand while writing with the other.  However, there will certainly be other benefits as well. Samsung to build a P3 ‘total semiconductor factory’ in Pyeongtaek by 2021

It hasn't been long since Samsung completed the construction of its P2 semiconductor plant in Pyeongtaek, but now, the company is preparing to build its 3rd 'P3' semiconductor factory in the same city in the Gyeonggi Province. According to reports from the local media , Samsung wants to start constructing the P3 plant in September and make it fully operational by the end of 2021. The P3 plant will reportedly be 300 meters longer than the existing P2 plant, topping a total of 700 meters in length. Constructing the building itself should take roughly a year, and a few additional months will be needed to install the necessary equipment and ready it for mass production.
