Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 4G launched in India

Samsung has launched the LTE variant of the Galaxy Watch Active 2 in India. The company launched its first LTE-enabled smartwatch in the country earlier this year with the Galaxy Watch 4G, more than a year after it was launched in other markets, but it hasn't taken so long to bring the Galaxy Watch Active 2 4G to India.

The Galaxy Watch Active 2 4G, like the Galaxy Watch 4G, has an eSIM, and Samsung says carriers Airtel and Jio currently support the watch in India. As far as pricing is concerned, the Watch Active 2 4G will set you back by Rs 35,990 (~$505). It's steep pricing for a market where a lower price than that can get consumers flagship-grade smartphones; the Galaxy Watch 4G, at a starting price of Rs 28,490 (~$400), may be a better deal for those looking to save some cash.

The LTE-enabled Galaxy Watch Active 2 comes only in the 44mm size in India, with color options of silver, black and gold. The watch can be purchased from Amazon and Samsung's official store if they take the online route. Offline, it is available from major retailers and the Samsung Opera House experience store in Bengaluru.
