Honor 7X finally, officially receives Android Oreo with EMUI 8.0

The Honor 7X is said to be getting Treble support with Android Oreo Beta. That was over a month ago. After being beta tested for EMUI 8.0 and Android Oreo, the smartphone is almost ready to receive the said OS update officially. This means all Honor 7X phone owners will receive the OS update beginning April 30. That's today ladies and geeks so if you happen to own an Honor 7X, wait for the OTA alert or notification. It will arrive anytime soon so make sure you have enough storage space.

The Huawei Honor 7X was first released as an Amazon-exclusive offering in India back in November 2017 and reached the United States in December. The phone also reached Latin America. Earlier this year, the Honor 7X also received an update that brought Face unlock and AR Lens.

We've also seen the Red Honor 7X as a Valentine's Day offering. This Oreo OS for the Honor 7X will bring the usual Android 8.0 updates: picture-in-picture mode, notification channels, Autofill for passwords, Google Play Protect security, and notification dots. The latest security patch level is also included plus the promise of a longer battery life, snooze notifications, high-resolution audio, adaptive app icons, and faster boot-up.

This good news is specifically for Honor 7X owners in the United States since it was shared by Honor USA.
