Samsung Releases Galaxy S9 and S9+ With 128GB and 256GB of Storage

Samsung announced today that the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ (our review) will be available this week with 128GB and 256GB of storage.

That's a substantial increase in storage from the 64GB model that first arrived back in early March. 128GB is double and 256GB is quadruple, which means you should be able to store all the photos and videos your little fingers can snap. Or, you could just buy a microSD card like this one.

Samsung is putting both the S9 and S9+ with these new storage amounts up for pre-order tomorrow, May 1, in Lilac Purple, Coral Blue, and Midnight Black. The phones will ship around May 18. They are going to be sold exclusively through Samsung.com right here.

How much do they cost? You are looking at $50 or $100 increase depending on the storage amount.

  • Galaxy S9 128GB: $769.99
  • Galaxy S9: 256GB: $819.99
  • Galaxy S9+ 128GB: $889.99
  • Galaxy S9+ 256GB: $939.99

Should you buy one of these new S9 models from May 1 through May 17, you'll get to choose a free pair of Gear IconX (2018) buds or a Gear S3 Frontier for $99.
