You can now leave reviews of Google Assistant actions and apps

Google Assistant may have launched with somewhat limited capabilities, but over the past year or so the company's "Actions on Google" platform has exploded with thousands of excellent apps and integrations. Now, users can provide feedback on those with reviews.

Some interactions with third-party software on Google Assistant feels very native, like home control or weather information. Other actions, though, require a bit more to access. Unlike Amazon's Alexa, Google Assistant has all of its various actions live at the same time, meaning you need to know what to say to trigger them. To make that a bit easier, Google has a library available to show you what's out there.

The massive library is available on your phone and the web, and makes it relatively easy to see what you can do with these various actions and apps. In the past, however, there was no way to know if that functionality worked well.

As pointed out by Android Police, Google recently flipped a switch that enables users to leave reviews on the various available actions. You can't yet leave reviews anywhere except on mobile devices, but the results of these reviews show on all platforms. Since this has only been live for a few days, there obviously aren't a ton of reviews out there, but it's good to see the functionality going live.

With this in place, developers can get actual feedback from users on their apps and actions, and users can be a little more aware of what they're getting into with new functionality.  Review averages appear right on the app's listing even in search results.

Sony Announces Smaller Digital Paper E-Ink Writing Tablet

Sony has now announced a smaller follow-up to last year's Digital Paper E-ink writing tablet, the DPT-RP1. That's according to a new announcement made today via Sony's official blog. The new tablet – also dubbed with Digital Paper branding but sold under the model number DPT-CP1 – seems to be the same basic design as the previous model. However, while that earlier device was sized as close as possible to A4 paper with a 13.3-inch display, the new model drops to A5 with a 10.3-inch display. That should make its use much easier under a wider number of circumstances since it will arguably be easier to hold in one hand while writing with the other.  However, there will certainly be other benefits as well. Samsung to build a P3 ‘total semiconductor factory’ in Pyeongtaek by 2021

It hasn't been long since Samsung completed the construction of its P2 semiconductor plant in Pyeongtaek, but now, the company is preparing to build its 3rd 'P3' semiconductor factory in the same city in the Gyeonggi Province. According to reports from the local media , Samsung wants to start constructing the P3 plant in September and make it fully operational by the end of 2021. The P3 plant will reportedly be 300 meters longer than the existing P2 plant, topping a total of 700 meters in length. Constructing the building itself should take roughly a year, and a few additional months will be needed to install the necessary equipment and ready it for mass production. Motorola Pronto Suite To Be Used By States Of Jersey Police

Motorola 's Pronto Suite of applications is going to be used by the States of Jersey Police, proposed as a forward-moving effort to transition from using methods for simpler tasks that could be completed more efficiently in the field by using digital resources instead of using paper. Examples of tasks that could be completed with some of the apps in the Pronto Suite are things like taking down statements or handing out penalty notices. The idea behind getting on board with the Pronto Suite is to save time for officers in the field and help streamline things. The suite will include things like the Pronto OTA server for storage management, the Pronto Hub Server, and the Pronto Web Manager to view captured data.
