Nougat Tip: Switch between camera modes, camera filters and more with a swipe

If you have updated your Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge to Android 7.0 Nougat, you might have noticed that Samsung has brought about a major change to the camera app’s user interface. The buttons have been moved to different positions, and Samsung has also changed the way a few things work. Did you know that you can now switch between the front and rear cameras by swiping up or down on the screen?

There’s still a dedicated button for doing so, but you will notice how switching between the two cameras becomes faster when you can simply swipe at any point on the screen. It’s not just switching between the front and rear cameras that now works with a swipe: you can also swipe in from the left of the screen to change between different camera modes, or swipe in from the right to access photo filters. In fact, these two functions can only be accessed with a swipe, so don’t forget this handy little tip the next time you’re shooting pictures on your Nougat-powered Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge.

Samsung to build a P3 ‘total semiconductor factory’ in Pyeongtaek by 2021

It hasn't been long since Samsung completed the construction of its P2 semiconductor plant in Pyeongtaek, but now, the company is preparing to build its 3rd 'P3' semiconductor factory in the same city in the Gyeonggi Province. According to reports from the local media , Samsung wants to start constructing the P3 plant in September and make it fully operational by the end of 2021. The P3 plant will reportedly be 300 meters longer than the existing P2 plant, topping a total of 700 meters in length. Constructing the building itself should take roughly a year, and a few additional months will be needed to install the necessary equipment and ready it for mass production. Sony Announces Smaller Digital Paper E-Ink Writing Tablet

Sony has now announced a smaller follow-up to last year's Digital Paper E-ink writing tablet, the DPT-RP1. That's according to a new announcement made today via Sony's official blog. The new tablet – also dubbed with Digital Paper branding but sold under the model number DPT-CP1 – seems to be the same basic design as the previous model. However, while that earlier device was sized as close as possible to A4 paper with a 13.3-inch display, the new model drops to A5 with a 10.3-inch display. That should make its use much easier under a wider number of circumstances since it will arguably be easier to hold in one hand while writing with the other.  However, there will certainly be other benefits as well.
