Samsung Developer Conference 2017 Session Speakers: Shinji Kim, Robert Bird - Akamai As the growth of the Internet of Things explodes, the fundamental protocols underpinning it are changing. In particular, the dominant protocol for IoT globally is now MQTT, or Message Queue Telemetry Transport. In this presentation, Rob will provide an overview of the MQTT protocol, compare it with HTTP for devices big and small, and explain the advantages adopting MQTT provides application developers seeking the best user experience for IoT.

The OnePlus 6T is the biggest launch yet for the one-time underdog out of China. After years of selling their phones directly and unlocked, OnePlus has now found a carrier partner (T-Mobile) and also opened up their phone to usage on Verizon's network here in the US. Rocking a pair of Pixel Buds? Then you'll be glad to know that Google just announced it has added new gestures to your earphones. The new controls are accessible when you're using your Pixel Buds in concert with your Pixel phone or any other Android phone that has the Google Assistant on it. The Pixel Buds get more versatile Starting this week, Pixel Buds owners can manually turn their earphones on or off by triple tapping on the right earbud.
