Samsung Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+ 128GB versions launched in India, price starts at Rs 61900 #Google #Android #News #Smartphone #APK

Samsung is bringing the 128GB version of its flagship Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ phones to India. The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ 128GB version will be available for buying from across online and offline stores at Rs 61,900 and Rs 68,900 respectively, Samsung announced on Tuesday. Both the phones will be available in three colours: Midnight Black, Coral Blue and Lilac Purple.

Previously Samsung had launched only the 64GB and the 256GB versions of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ phones in India. While the 64GB version of the Galaxy S9 sells in India at Rs 57,900, the top-end 256GB version of the phone is available for Rs 65,900. The Galaxy S9+ meanwhile starts at Rs 64,900 for the 64GB version, going all the way to Rs 72,900 for the top-end 256GB version.

While the 64GB version of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ is available for buying from select offline stores and online via Samsung Shop and Flipkart, the 256GB version of the phones is available from Reliance Digital stores, Samsung exclusive stores and Samsung Shop.

The Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ are incremental upgrades to last year's Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ -- largely in design and core hardware -- but both the phones offer different set of specifications. In simple terms, while the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ were more or less the same deal differing only in screen size and battery capacities, the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ are a lot different from each other.

The Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ retain the 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch screen sizes of their predecessors, backed by Samsung's proprietary Super AMOLED panels and 2960x1440 pixel (WQHD+) resolution.

As is customary, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ come with upgraded next-generation hardware. Both the phones are powered by an octa-core (with support for Gigabit LTE) Exynos 9810 processor. While the Galaxy S9 ships with 4GB RAM, the Galaxy S9+ comes with 6GB RAM.

The Galaxy S9 comes with a single camera sensor on the rear. It can shoot dual-pixel 12-megapixel photos -- assisted by OIS. This sensor can shoot between F1.5 and F2.4 with the former assisting in low light and the latter jumping in when lighting is ideal. It's possible to manually switch between the two apertures using the phones' pro-mode. The Galaxy S9+ carries the same primary sensor but it also includes a secondary 12-megapixel sensor with fixed aperture (F2.4) for portrait photography and bokeh much like it is in the case of the Galaxy Note 8.
