Android Pie now rolling out to unlocked Razer Phone 2 w/ Google’s Digital Wellbeing

The Razer Phone 2 first debuted last October, shortly after Android Pie first started hitting devices such as Google's Pixel. That left the device a step behind, but now the update is officially kicking off its rollout to unlocked models.

True to its word, Razer kicked off the update on February 27th and at this point, it should be rolling out widely to all unlocked Razer Phone 2 owners. The update weighs in at roughly 1.4GB and includes the February security patch, support for 60fps video in 720p, 1080p, and 4K quality. Gestures navigation, improved notification management, and adaptive battery support.

Notably, this update also adds the Razer Phone 2 to the limited list of devices which support Google's Digital Wellbeing. Granted, this is a device designed to make gaming a solid experience, but it's nice to see the "time-well-spent" feature added on.

Unlocked models should see the update available as an OTA by now, and users can manually check via the settings menu. Models affected by carriers should see the update land in the next couple of weeks, and AT&T users will see it around April 4th.

Samsung to build a P3 ‘total semiconductor factory’ in Pyeongtaek by 2021

It hasn't been long since Samsung completed the construction of its P2 semiconductor plant in Pyeongtaek, but now, the company is preparing to build its 3rd 'P3' semiconductor factory in the same city in the Gyeonggi Province. According to reports from the local media , Samsung wants to start constructing the P3 plant in September and make it fully operational by the end of 2021. The P3 plant will reportedly be 300 meters longer than the existing P2 plant, topping a total of 700 meters in length. Constructing the building itself should take roughly a year, and a few additional months will be needed to install the necessary equipment and ready it for mass production. Samsung says upcoming Galaxy M handsets will be better and cheaper

The Galaxy M series has proven to be very successful for Samsung. The company launched its Galaxy M handsets last year in a bid to compete more effectively against the likes of Xiaomi and Vivo in India's lucrative mid-range market. Sony Announces Smaller Digital Paper E-Ink Writing Tablet

Sony has now announced a smaller follow-up to last year's Digital Paper E-ink writing tablet, the DPT-RP1. That's according to a new announcement made today via Sony's official blog. The new tablet – also dubbed with Digital Paper branding but sold under the model number DPT-CP1 – seems to be the same basic design as the previous model. However, while that earlier device was sized as close as possible to A4 paper with a 13.3-inch display, the new model drops to A5 with a 10.3-inch display. That should make its use much easier under a wider number of circumstances since it will arguably be easier to hold in one hand while writing with the other.  However, there will certainly be other benefits as well.
