Huawei P30 Pro Certification Confirms 40W SuperCharge Charging

The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro have surfaced on the Chinese 3C certification agency's website. Two Huawei P30 variants surfaced, the ELE-AL00 and ELE-TL00, while three variants of the P30 Pro appeared, the VOG-TL00, VOG-AL10, and VOG-AL00.

As per usual, this certification does not really share all that much info about smartphones, but it does share some charging-related information. The 3C certification confirmed that the Huawei P30 Pro will include 40W wired fast charging, same as the Mate 20 Pro, while the P30 will offer up to 22.5W fast wired charging.

The 40W fast wired charging that is included in the Mate 20 Pro is called the Huawei SuperCharge, and Huawei will stick to that naming for the P30 Pro as well, of course. That fast charging comes with TÜV safe fast-charge system certification, and it's capable of charging the device from 0 to 100-percent extremely fast.

With Huawei's SuperCharge, you will be able to recharge the Huawei P30 Pro's battery from 0 to 70-percent in just 30 minutes, and it's a shame Huawei will not offer that same tech in the P30. The Huawei P30 will be capable of recharging really fast thanks to 22.5W fast charging, but it's not the same thing, of course.

Both phones will almost certainly support wireless charging, even though the source did not mention anything when it comes to that. The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro will be made out of metal and glass, and considering that the Mate 20 series did offer wireless charging, those same features will probably be included in the P30 and P30 Pro. The P30 Pro may even support reverse wireless charging that was included in the Mate 20 Pro, though such a feature probably will not make its way to the P30, we'll see.

Huawei P30 & P30 Pro Design Was Revealed Recently

Both the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro surfaced yesterday in a number of seemingly official renders. Based on those renders, both devices will be made out of metal and glass, but there will be some differences. The Huawei P30 Pro will be the larger phone of the two, of course, but in addition to that, its triple camera setup on the back seems to be a bit larger than the one on the back of the P30.

Both phones will sport a curved back, while Huawei's logo will be included on the back as well. Leica's lenses will make a comeback on both phones, and both devices will include physical keys on the right side. Looking at them from the front, both phones will include waterdrop display notches, and there's one major difference on the front between the two devices. The Huawei P30 will ship with a flat display, while the P30 Pro will include a curved display, it seems. Both phones are expected to sport OLED panels, though.

Both the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro will be fueled by the same processor, the Kirin 980, and it remains to be seen if the P30 Pro will include 5G by default, or will Huawei release a special version of the device at some point, the latter is more probable. The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro may ship in more than one variants, and 6GB of RAM will be the absolute minimum that Huawei may implement in these two phones, Powerful cameras are expected on the back of both phones, and Android 9 Pie will come pre-installed on both devices, with Huawei's custom UI. The two phones will be announced on March 26 in Paris.
