Alleged Galaxy Z Fold 2 specs reveal 7.7-inch 120Hz foldable screen, 12MP primary camera
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 was expected to be unveiled alongside the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G during Samsung's Unpacked Galaxy 2020 event on August 5. However, it was recently reported that the launch of the foldable smartphone could be delayed due to incomplete software. Now, the alleged specifications of the Galaxy Z Fold 2 have been leaked.
According to a report from Koren tech publication ETNews, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 will feature a 7.7-inch foldable Super AMOLED screen (Y-OCTA) on the inside with a 120Hz refresh rate and UTG (Ultra Thin Glass) protection. On the outside, the device reportedly features a 6.23-inch Super AMOLED screen. The foldable smartphone also seems to feature a side-mounted fingerprint reader, similar to the first-gen Galaxy Fold.
Galaxy Z Fold 2 could use the Galaxy S20's camera setup
The phone reportedly features 10MP selfie cameras on the inside and the outside. The publication claims that the Galaxy Z Fold 2's rear-facing triple-camera setup features a 12MP primary camera with a wide-angle lens, a 12MP camera with an ultrawide-angle lens, and a 64MP telephoto camera. If this information is true, the phone uses the same camera setup that has been used in the Galaxy S20.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 reportedly also features 15W fast wireless charging and 15W fast reverse wireless charging. It was revealed in the past that the foldable phone will come packed with two batteries with a combined capacity of 4,365mAh and a 25W fast charger. The device is expected to feature the Snapdragon 865+ processor, 256GB/512GB internal storage, and 5G connectivity.
Do you think Samsung should've opted for the ISOCELL HM1 108MP or the ISOCELL GN1 50MP sensor instead of a 12MP sensor in the Galaxy Z Fold 2?
