Samsung has the Sprint version of the 64GB Galaxy S8+ for as low as $8 a month

Surely you've noticed that as we get closer to the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ a month from tomorrow, the price of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ drops. This also applies to the 2017 Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. On Sammy's own website, you can now pick up an Artic Silver 64GB Galaxy S8+ for only $194. This works out to $8.08 a month for 24 months. 

The same phone in Midnight Black is priced at $244, or 24 monthly payments of $10.17. In Orchid Gray, you'll have to pay $544 or $22.67 a month over 24 months. So this begs the question, ...
